I've never fished for whites in the fall and it doesn't sound like this would be a good fall to start. Do you think trolling rooster tails where you see the shad would do any good?

I am wanting to go fishing tomorrow. Are all the boat ramps closed?

Heading to Stockton tomorrow afternoon to try for some crappie. Anyone have a thought on whether I should troll some bandit crank baits or vertical fish minnows over brush? Or, should I wait till lake drops more?
