So with the water as low as it is right now, how far up the lake do you guys think is safe for boating in a regular size fishing boat? I fished Bull Shoals last week and considered trailering my rig over toward Branson for a day, but had 2nd thoughts.

Buster knows his stuff! I had the pleasure of fishing with him several years ago. We didn't catch a lot but I learned more in a day and half than I could have figured out on my own in years. What are boating conditions like down there right now? At 9.5 feet low, is it possible to motor up to Barker from Beaver creek in a bass boat or will it be safer to stay below Beaver?

Thanks for the invite. Is it a team thing or can a single fisherman enter? My buddy will be teaching a class up in Springfield on Saturday. We are only fishing together Thursday and Friday.

I know there's a walleye tournament out of Beaver Creek on Saturday, Feb 25. Anyone know how many boats will be in it? A buddy and I are going to be fishing down there that weekend too. Do you think it will be crowded?

I love fishing with Rogues and other stickbaits in the Ozark lakes and tailwaters. I have pretty good success using medium action casting tackle and 8-12 lb line but sometimes it's hard to get any distance on casts. I'm looking for a new rod and reel combo just for stick baits. What do the Rogue experts like Buster Loving use?

That's what I figure. Some years you can really fill the boat starting in January, but my guess is water level and temperature has more to do with fish being below the dam than calendar. As low as it is now you're best bet is probably down around Beaver Creek. -
G3 out of Lebanon has a pretty wide selection. I have an HP190 myself and have been very happy with it. Handles big water nicely and doesn't draw that much water. I fish upper BS and Taney out of it all the time. G3 Boats

I usually put in at Beaver Creek and motor up to Barker and Powersite or down toward Mincy depending on what's going on. I've never fished upper Bull Shoals though when it's super low. Does Beaver Creek stay launchable?
