  1. So are trip was suppose to be next weekend.. This might be a stupid and ridiculous question but what will the river be like? If it's anything like my backyard here in Missouri, (Meramec) we won't be getting close.
  2. Awesome, thank you! I will report back when we get home!
  3. Awesome. I will give it a shot. Thanks Ham!
  4. First timer.. Taking a trip to the white river in May and we are staying at Rim shoals Resort. Can anybody tell me a little bit about this area. Can you wade fish here or is the boat a better option? Most of us will be spin fishing, What kind of bait restrictions is in this stretch? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
  5. @Seth me and my buddy will be there in his ranger bass boat. Looking forward to it!
  6. This fish came off the same bank as the others before we left this morning?
  7. Fishing was good for us on Saturday. Fished below fall creek, down past roark creek and here and there in between. We tried throwing jerkbaits in hope to catch a big brown- didn't work out this trip.. But the jerkbaits did produce a couple good bass. The two bass were caught a couple hundred yards from each other. Both were released. Caught a couple crappie (was a first for us) down by the landing, and picked up a few trout down there as well. I'm sure someone who knows how to catch them crappie could have a good time down there right now. Late afternoon/ evening we went up to the short creek area and started catching small rainbows. My buddy ended up catching a pretty good one up there. We worked the dock side past short creek and then switched over to the other side and started picking up rainbows all the way to Lilleys. Most the trout were small ones but still tons of fun. All our trout were caught on black, or black and olive jigs. (Been watching the one cast and listening to Phil's reports- Thanks Phil!!) Great day to end the year!
  8. We have stayed at Lilleys landing before and Phil's place is awesome! But I don't think we can swing a 3 night trip this time around. Planning a trip and was curious to know if there is any place on the lake that doesn't require a 3 night minimum this time of year? Preferably somewhere on the lake so we can leave the boat in the water overnight. Wanting to stay Friday and Saturday night. Any ideas?
  9. Ah ok that's what I figured you were talking about. It seemed like the riffle right below that hole had a good number of fish in it as well.
  10. No that wasn't me that you spoke too but I was there from about 2:30 till 4. What hole is the pond hole? I saw a couple holes that held quite a few. Sounds like a pretty fun day! I wish I could have went down this afternoon too but I was busy as we'll.
  11. Finally got down to do some winter fishing. Wishing i could have went to Montauk but the springs is so much closer! There were several others fly fishing while I was throwing marabou jigs ( mostly black and yellow). I mangaed to only catch 2 trout, but I did end up catching several good smallmouth. Fished most of the stream all the way to the river, and a little fishing below the park where the river dumps in. River was up in muddy from all the rain and snow this past week! After some heavy rainfall, it always looks neat down there where the river meets the spring. It seemed like there was plenty of fish in the stream and all in all a good day to be knee deep in the water. Anyone else having any winter fishing luck?
