  1. Come out and fish with us tomorrow night! Tournament hours are 6:30-11:00 and it is a 5 fish limit. This is the only 100% payback tournament that I know of around here...no late fees, no membership fees and no money held back for the championship that will be later this year. Call or text if you have any questions...417-531-1144
  2. Sounds like you need to plead your case to the AGFC. I would wager a guess that more bass are illegally harvested than what you see dead at prairie creek the morning after a night tournament. From the way Beaver has been fishing this year, I really don't see a large impact on the bass population from any predators, bass tournament or illegal harvesting. So on that note, anyone who wants to come out and fish, our weekly Tuesday night jackpot will be out of Hickory Creek tomorrow night. Tournament hours are 6:30-11:00.
  3. We weighed, took this pic and then went down and made sure our fish swam off.
  4. Yes, we finished 2nd. There was still a few dead ones weighed in and the 1 pound penalty I'm sure is in place to help detour that. I wish we were drawing more boats in the night tourneys but last night I think we only had 25 or so boats.
  5. Believe it or not, the whites were schooling yesterday evening between the islands!! The ski boats, wave runners and pleasure boaters didn't bother them a bit!! I was amazed!
  6. I just got home from the Castmasters tournament a few hours ago. As for all the dead bass, some is a combo ignorance and not coming prepared with a bottle of catch and release and lots of ice. We caught around 20 keepers last night and took second with 15 1/2 pounds. And I took over 30 pounds of ice!! Didn't have a single bass even think about doing the belly up dance!!!
  7. No Ryan, I just got up to my Mom's farm in Missouri. Be up here a couple days because she needs some stuff done around the farm and no one else in the family here will help! Lol!! I'm fishing a derby tomorrow and Friday night at lake of the ozarks and then coming back to NWA for Castmasters night tournament Saturday night.
  8. Saw a couple big schools of whites come up by 12 bridge around 7:30 last night. Also some random schoolers behind the buoys in prairie creek. Talked to a buddy that was up the war eagle throwing a deep diving crankbait and caught lots of 10-15 pound stripers. Our Tueaday night jackpot tournament results were: 1st...13.60 2nd...12.50 3rd...11.06 big bass was 5.06
  9. Put in at prairie creek at 9:00 PM and fished until 2:00 AM. Stayed in that general area. Bass fished half the time(that sucked) and crappie fished the other half of the time. Caught a few nice crappie under lights and 1 keeper walleye. A couple white bass also. What did we catch the most of you ask...???? Stripers. Yep, freaking stripers. Probably caught a dozen from 2-3 pounds on crappie jigs!! Lots of fun on a crappie rod but I would have rather caught 2-3 pound crappie!!!!
  10. Did see a big school of BIG whites come up by 12 bridge a couple weeks ago...we were fishing a bass tournament and saw the water start to boil!! We hit high speed on the trolling motor and both of us hooked up on our first cast with top water only to be disappointed that they were 2lb+ whites!!!
  11. I had wrote it off as that also Stump but then I talked to a couple buddies that had good bags Saturday and they caught their fish on top all day. I should have just moved to a completely different area of the lake. Totally agree though that weekend vs weekday fishing is a different animal!!!
  12. Wasn't me...I stayed out until about 2:00 last Thursday. The top water bite was off the hook!! Then in the Everett on Saturday, I am embarrassed to say I couldn't get them to eat it. I still can't figure out what I did wrong.
  13. Anybody going to be out on the lake tomorrow? I am putting in at PC at daylight..02 red/white Ranger dual console. Stop me and say hi if your out there!!!
  14. What depth are you guys getting bit on the ned for smallies? I really haven't caught many brown fish lately...kinda depressing!!!!
  15. Yeah, I know. I will be going up to my mom's in Lebanon in a couple weeks. I will check back and see if you still have it then. Thanks.
  16. Interested in the IMX but I'm in Fayetteville.
  17. Did Hook Lone actually have some of the old ones?? If so, I sure missed them!!
  18. Where is pick up on the rods Dutch?
  19. The whites by 12 bridge were very catchable. Super spook jr or red fin. Saw a guy trolling crankbaits catch some too. There were busting in huge schools like stump said they were around Horseshoe.
  20. For you guys that like to chase stripers and whites...the whites were schooling wide open by 12 bridge this morning. And we saw a handful of stripers blow ups too. Looked like some Giants!!
  21. Someone had a good one in the Tuesday night jackpot so we weighed it for fun..6 lbs. on a jig.
  22. Wake bait bite has not been as strong this year as it has been in the past. Just random Kentuckys on it..I was thinking about heading out for a few hours early in the morning myself.
  23. Thanks Stump...when the wind came up in the afternoon, I went out in the main lake and fished the wind with a spinnerbait and swimbait with no luck...all I was thinking while I was out there was 'Stump would be catching them right now!!'
  24. I fished by myself and weighed 15.42..good enough for 12th. Should have been in the top 5 but I didn't fish clean. I stayed local all day and all my fish were in 7-8 feet of water or less. Several top water baits and flipping plastics accounted for all my fish. Woods, rocks, didn't matter...I saw several on beds but nothing that would have helped my weight so I didn't stop and bed fish any. Funny thing happened to me...I pulled into a long pocket and a boat was fishing out of the pocket almost to the main lake. I pulled in a good distance behind them to fish the pocket they were pulling out of. As I was lowering my trolling motor, the guy in the back of the other boat chirped off that I was pretty close to 50 yards away from them. I said 'Aren't you guys fishing the opposite direction that I am?' He said 'Yeah, but you are breaking the 50 yard rule.' I almost told him to call Joe the tournament director and file a protest...but I didn't. I just sat my rod down and went to the back of the pocket to fish towards the main lake instead of from the main lake into the pocket like I wanted to. Well, you know what happened...I caught a limit down that bank that they just fished including a couple 3 pounders. So to the hillbillies in the aluminum boat that chirped off, karma is a BITCH!! Lol!!!! Rant over.
  25. Even if Bass Pro and Goldman ends up buying Cabela's, I don't think they would squash the name. It is an established name..jmo though.
