  1. I know..should have had a quicker response time. I guess the post got pushed down and I didn't see it until earlier today.
  2. Sending you a message.
  3. I didn't fish the benifit tourney last Saturday night but it was the perfect storm!! And they smashed'em!!! 14 boats fished 1st @ 20lbs (good job Steven Meador) 2nd @ 19.26lbs 3rd @ 18.42lbs.
  4. Forgot to tell you that I saw 3 striper guide boats from Rocky Branch to the dam last Thursday. Didn't see them catching any but we caught that big one on top I told you about Sunday.
  5. The goggle eye/Rock bass we catch in Missouri and Table Rock all have the red eye...also caught some a few weeks ago on Champlain.
  6. Thanks..I had the opportunity to have a better bag today but lost a couples big ones..fishing with Alton Jones jr tomorrow. He is a great young fisherman and is on some good fish.
  7. I'm ready to get it started!! Have a great partner who is fishing the same part of the lake we have caught our fish in. I just have to get them in the boat..no nets in BASS tourneys so landing a big smallie can be challenging!! Monday was a great day..between me and Carl Svebek (the guy I came up with) our best 5 smallies would have pushed 21-22 pounds! Co-anglers can only weigh in 3 so I need 10-11 pounds a day to stay at the top.
  8. Not a whole bunch. Biggest was 4lbs..it was extremely tough to fish in that wind!! Most guys didn't even go out today.
  9. It was crazy windy today..took us an hour to get 8 miles back to the ramp!!
  10. I agree doc...it's not hard to keep them alive right now. A little fish care commen sense is all it takes.
  11. Sold..please delete. Thank u.
  12. Yes sir...Carl got out of fishing for several years after Castrol pulled his sponsorship and he went through a divorce. His current employer, Gopher Industrial, has put him back in the boat on tour. He fished the BASS northerns this fall and will fish a couple of the BASS Open schedules next year to try to qualify for the Elites. Gopher Industrial has also picked up the tab for all my expenses for this tournament and possibly next year as well. Take a minute and visit gopher industrial.com and support the guys that support fisherman!!
  13. Yes sir...he blew the field away with big largemouth from the south end of the lake, fished 1/2 a day on the final day..and came back to the dock early and ordered pizza!! i have been there a few times but it has been several years. You for sure need to get up there someday..those smallmouth have big shoulders up north!!!!
  14. Just got my email confirming that I am in the Bassmasters Open on Champlain in 3 weeks!! It is a phenomenal smallmouth lake with big largemouth too. To top it all off, I will be traveling with my old roadie from the FLW days, Carl Svebek. Can't. Wait!!!!
  15. Your right Dan..these cooler nights are gonna make it real good real quick!! I'm ready..I have had enough night fishing for the year.

  18. We were in shallow water most of the night and didn't pay attention to he thermocline at all. Water color looked pretty dirty up River when we got around dock lights..temp was 82/83.
  19. Believe it or not, it was pretty tough last night...but when you got a bite, it was a good one!! Fished from 7pm-3am from Coppermine all the way up War Eagle..water temp in the low 80's. They were super shallow!! Buzz bait and spinnerbait did the damage...1st place with 17.01 pounds w/ 4.52 big bass!!
  20. Welcome to the board JMax! Bass fishing has been pretty phenomenal this year but lately it has been pretty darn tough!! Some guys are trolling and catching crappie pretty good..we usually start laying the hammer to them in October/November. The spoonbill is awesome!! I'm jealous!!!
  21. Thanks for the compliment Dan..I wish we could catch quality every time we hit the lake but hey, it is Beaver lake!! Lol!! Seriously though, we have stayed on them pretty good from the spawn until now. Even had a couple of those special spots that have produced several fish over 4 pounds. Hope we stay on them as we have several fish-offs and championships coming up.
  22. The guy that bought them seems to have an unlimited supply of money to spend on warts. I don't know an exact count but he has somewhere between 2,000-3,000 pre Rapala warts. I know of at least a 1/2 dozen guys that he has bought their whole collection! Makes me sick...they are just sitting in boxes in his garage out East somewhere...doesn't even fish them.
  23. They have said a couple times that they were reintroducing it but it's never the same. I'm not worried...the old warts will never loose their value.
  24. My buddy just sold these 2 lots for $2,000! Always take a lure retriever when fishing an old wart...don't break them off!!
