  1. Aaron, Mitch! I get the next boat ride after this spawn funk is all over right?
  2. Welcome to the forums man! I look forward to seeing some fishing reports!
  3. I've recently found that when Quoting someone or in my case being quoted someone can actually alter or completely delete you're quote and type whatever free text they'd like thus making it look like you originally posted the contents. I don't believe it was done out of spite. There's been times where I accidentally hit the quote tab and can't get it to go away so I'm thinking maybe out of frustration another member just deleted my text and put their own to get a message across. The problem was the discussion was with a new member who didn't agree with the contents of the reply (a reply quoted in my name that I'd never in fact ever wrote). I've reached out to that member and personally apologized to him letting him know that I believe there's an error going on. I'm not sure if it's limited to the mobile version or its on both the mobile and desk versions. Hope this can be resolved soon. If an admin can PM I'd give a bit more detail.
  4. Coincides with what I went through yesterday. Fished mineral fork for about 2 hours and only had two goggle eye and one small bass. When I did see smallmouth of decent size they appeared to be on beds.
  5. Great fish man! I'm jealous of all the pictures of big fish lol thanks for the report and releasing her to fight another day!
  6. The combination of that craw and the tenacious fishing ability of this man is insane to say the least lol I don't think there's a soul on this forum that's tearing it up the way Aaron is man....it really is incredible. I know i've said it a few times now but that craw is going to go very far.
  7. Eh who cares it's a great fish man! I have no doubt that craw could tear up multiple species of fish. Sounds like a good day.
  8. Thanks for the report! I love fishing the big for smallmouth. Your story reminded me of an time when I first started grub fishing a long time ago (I was about 14) I decided just for the heck of it to use it as a top water. Well as I'm reeling it in a bass exploded on it! I was in such shock that it worked I didn't even set the hook...I just sort of stood there in amazement lol needless to say it doesn't have that effect on me now.
  9. Hey a few is more then I got! Time on the water is time well spent to me. It speaks volumes that you guys can catch a few with water conditions that difficult......well that and that craw is magnificent.
  10. The tube bite is going very well right now. Those are all great fish. Hog would appreciate all of them! They're getting fat in the week give or take before the spawn. Good report and pics man those are definitely some chunkers.
  11. Yeah mineral fork can surprise you with some quality smallmouth. Obviously the average fish size won't be as big as fish from the Mac or Big but still some great fishing to be had.
  12. Haven't got to look at the section near Kingston access. Not much has changed around F bridge. Maybe a little more shallow in the section just up stream of the bridge. I have access near rivermont I'll be checking that out in the next couple weeks and will let you know.
  13. He was excited about having a fish on until he saw it was a goggle eye lol not sure why? I don't mind catching em at all. He's set on bass but just doesn't always have the patience when the bite is slow or just hard in some way. I told him that comes with time and to just keep at it.
  14. Took a buddy of mine who doesn't really fish much so I'm trying to get him into it. He managed a few goggle eye. It's tough to keep him interested lol
  15. Went out and fished a stretch of the mineral fork on saturday. Water temps were hovering around 56°-57°. Fished for about an hour or so and caught six smallies and one largemouth. All were caught on a Texas rigged tube bait. Here's a picture of the big fish of the day. Nothing to crazy but a super chunky 15'.
  16. that's awesome! Even with the temps dipping and the wind picking up you're still pulling em out!
  17. Never caught a hybrid. I hear they're fun.
  18. That should be some good eating! The only walleye I've ever caught was out of Stockton lake about 14 years ago. My family used to own a lot out there.
  19. Looks like it was a great outing man! Do I see a walleye in there?
  20. I've had to cut the line a few times when using tube baits because smallies tend to do the same with them. I hate it regardless of the size. As I fished tubes more and more it happens less and less but it's never 100% avoidable especially when fishing any sort of jig and plastic combination. On a positive note...I once caught a smallmouth out of mineral fork that had an odd sore on its side. As I checked it out more it was a hook that I'm guessing the fish had swallowed and it's body was trying to expell it. Some quick work with a sharp blade and hemostats had him back in the water and swimming away. He wasn't even bleeding when I released him.
  21. It's crazy isn't it? Lol I'd be happy catching the amount of 19-20 inch smallies in my life time that this dude catches in a day! King of the river is no joke man....more like the smallmouth whisperer haha.
  22. Very nice Hog! I'm betting tomorrow will be even better.
  23. That stinks man. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice this weekend. Especially sunday.
  24. Planned on checking out mineral fork today. I got down there and was caught In a down pour lol came a few hours earlier then it was supposed to down my way. Looks like you guys got some great fish. Thanks for the report man!
