Alright guys, looking for a little advice. I've been fishing in the tail waters of Beaver lake for over 10 years mostly going after rainbows and occasionally trying to get into the whites during the spawn, but have recently been tying to consistently find the large mouth and walleye so any advice on that would be great! But more specifically, Yesterday evening I was fishing in Bertrand creek about a mile or two up river from Beaver where I located a school of 20+ large mouth. I threw my tackle box at them (a large assortment of lures, artificial worms and rooster tails of various colors with varied reel speeds and patterns.) for close to two hours with out even a follow (I did catch one rainbow.) Water temp was in the low 50's. Do you guys think live bait would do better or maybe early morning instead of the evening?
