  1. Welcome Bill, It’ll work just don’t know if in the depth I’m in. That clearer water the further north you go I just don’t fish. And won’t. Yes that dirty water will be warmer. Brings them up
  2. Go get em! I haven’t used a plastic jig all winter. Tried to but, they take the minnow over the tube jig tipped with a minnow that is right next to it on another rod. 😂 It’s been straight minnow rig at .2-.3mph Pic below is basically the minnow rig I tie up. You can get them at Wally World already tied up
  3. Thank you sir.. Yes spider rigging that’s all I do.
  4. Don’t know if I’m ever going to get around to installing my new rigging rod holders. Rather fish than work on the boat. Past two Friday’s have been an insane bite. Culling them!! They are feeding like they are competing for food and starving😂 Hitting it running with it. A lot like a white bass would do. Fouled hook several yesterday. Hooked a 13” crappie in the belly that felt like a rock coming to the surface.🤪 WT was 48-50 yesterday. Rigging straight minnow rigs on shallow mud flats Don’t mean to flood the board with crappie reports. Just when I first started fishing this lake, this site really helped me learn the lake and meet some friends along the way. God Bless and of course pics below
  5. WT 42-44, Water color, dingy. Still can’t see my prop much. If that helps.... It’s perfect!!! Pretty much consistent bite the whole trip. Rigging double half oz minnow rigs in 6-7 fow and 4-5 feet down. At a slow crawl speed. They still hitting and running. Makes piercing that nose and crossing eyes difficult.😂 Lot of them are right in the thin part on the side of their mouth. Lost a bunch. We lucked out with light winds yesterday. Made for a comfortable day on the water and good fellowship with a fellow rigger to fish along with. Counting down the days until March. Ended with 15. God bless.

  7. It’s a boy at 14.5” and 1.65#’s😂 Previous post a couple weeks ago, that one was a girl at 15” and about 2#’s. Freakish fat bottom girl😂
  8. Got out Sunday afternoon and dirty water never looked so good. Love it WT was 44, Rigging .2-.3 mph, using 1/2oz double minnow rigs in 5-8 fow, around 5 feet down for the most part. The bite was a hit and run a lot of times. Made for not getting good hook sets. Pop offs all day. That or they just kind of made out with the minnow. 😂 Really had to be patient with grabbing the rod out of the holder to set the hook. You’ll eventually see the line go at an angle. Then set the thing quick. Not too many would hammer it and bury the rod tip. Wish I would of got more quality size minnows. They want the bigger beefier minnow. Like 3” They survived the two week ice age🤪. Ended with 14 Pics below, God Bless

  10. No this will last through the spring. Lot has to do with it being murky, darker water and holds heat from the sun. That starts the whole food chain process. Check your inbox. Sending you something
  11. Thanks for the update sir. I drove out yesterday evening to take a look up from pin hook area. From Mill Hollow up all I could see was a sheet of ice stretch all the way across. lol
  12. Okay. I’ll still compare next time.
  13. Been over 4 months since really fishing on Beaver. Mainly made a couple trips to just run my motor and look around. Not really fishing it very much. I’ve been fishing elsewhere. Anyway been watching the lake level and figure it was time again. Man was it ever!😂 I went off the same pattern I did last year about this time of year. And it basically lasted until the big flood in April. Rigging straight 1/2oz minnows rigs at .1-.3 mph in shallow muddy bottoms. Ended with 14. WT 38-39 It felt good to be back out there. Hopefully this pattern will continue God Bless and Happy New Year
  14. I don’t know. I didn’t pay attention to it at the driver seat to compare. I just launched and ran up following the channel and bluff lines. I’ll look next trip. Could it be because I’m way up on the south end?
  15. Didn’t see a one...

  17. I’m going by what Beaver water district and 40/29 news. When they did a report in the first part of September about it turning. Mention up about the big algae bloom as well that happen this year. Plus how the water quality was rated at some unclean level or something like that. ??? Thought it was early too. But we had a cooler September in the beginning So who knows? I just know back in the beginning of September when I quit fishing Beaver it looked pretty yucky up river. But your education and knowledge experience is way more than mine sir
  18. My uncle is selling his 2005 Tracker. 17ft with a 60hp. Boat is located in Hot Springs, AR. Feel free to contact me if interested and I’ll forward you on to him. Asking 8,000 https://littlerock.craigslist.org/boa/d/tracker-bass-boat/6363734149.html
  19. It turned already. Like September
  20. Yes what Fish Hound said. If you want to get youngsters on just catching fish constantly. Troll minnows in 20-10 fow 6-7 feet down, up the river in the creeks. You’ll go through a half pound bucket of minnows in no time. I did on Saturday morning. Whites and baby stripers are thick.
  21. Excellent! 😁. Good couple days for you! Still been on the little lake this past Friday and short bit on Sunday while the girls napped. Got 14 Friday and 7 Sunday that I released. Caught a couple good ones that need to stay. Going to Beaver Friday. Mainly to let Merc eat a little. She’s a smoking. Ain’t expecting much. just going to rig. We’ll see what happens. Thanks for the update. Great job
  22. Great to hear y'all had a good visit out there. Sucks that y'all couldn't get bit. Yes pretty much my experience through that water since August. I'll catch some but, dang they look wimpy. 😂 Haven't been able to figure it out this year down there so, got off and went else where. Ready to turn the page on this summer. Look forward to winter
  23. Thanks guy... I get on that lake again once the lake temp gets down in 60's. Seen they've really been pouring the coals to it the past couple days. Pulling it down. All for it. Catch them on their bellies in the mud 😄 These fish have all been caught in 9-10 fow 5-6ft down
  24. Boy! This summer has been a bust. That's why I haven't reported much. When August hit it became a grind. Couldn't catch any quality fish up river. When September hit, said the heck with it getting off this lake. Been on the little lakes having some fun. Better fishing and healthier fish. God bless Pics bellow
