Beaver only PBs for Striper, Walleye, Crappie and LM all caught in past 12 months:
44lb Striper
26" Walleye
16" Crappie
22" LM
The striper was caught with F&F last week and the others were caught from the kayak.
Check out the fishing reports for the past two weeks and the thread titled "The Current Hot Bite". As Sore Thumbs indicated, start out at PC and work your way up river.
Well, the striper size has been trending upwards. 2 days ago we catch a 20+. Yesterday a 30+. Today, I stay home and you get 2-40+. Absolutely awesome. Nice work today Fins, WC, and Nick!
Good times, especially the 21" 'eye in 4 feet of water. Fins: "Hey Yak, give me your Rod. You need to film me catching some hybrids before it gets dark". Yak: "Sure, sounds good. You better not catch a.......son of a.....give me my rod back".
Sore Thumbs experience with his partner is similar to many bass fisherman that I have talked with regarding their incidental walleye catches on Beaver. Pay your bass tournament entry fee and the walleye suddenly appear.
Nice post, Fins. I've known this for a while, but I need to upgrade the electronics on my kayak. My setup is over 10 years old. Effective enough to catch plenty of fish, but I've dropped many a jigging spoon into bushes/trees in the past thinking they were schools of fish or bait.
