I found mine on the James right near the bank in deep water were the current and smooth water met.

Lol only brought a 6 pack with me. And had a fish come off the hook and knocked it over

Who won the tournament and how big was the bass

I don't got any small spinner baits. The bites felt like I was hung. Did lose all my rebel crawl dads thou. But will get more and Ned rig bodies

Flavored cox to jro today. On the first cast caught a nice google eye. Also caught 7 smallmouth the smallest being 12in and the biggest 16in. Also caught some green sunfish. All caught on the Ned rig and rebel crawl dad. Will post pics later. The night seemed to shut off once I got to Kerr but was a great day on the river best so far. Also caught a smallmouth that had eggs In it's mouth. I thought thAt was strange. Tight lines every one.

So what size hook should be looking for

Do they have a big hook or a small hook on them? The ones I got now are like a number 3 hook

I'm looking for Ned rig heads. I looked all over and all is sold out found the bodies but no heads. Does anyone know were I can get some in the Springfield area. Before Sunday I'm heading out to fish on Sunday

I am going to be floating the James on Sunday from cox access to bro. Does anyone know what the small mouth and googel eye are biting on. Thinking about throwing a rebel crawldad and a hula grin and a Ned on my poles to start maybe a small square bill crank bait. All info is appricated . tight lines everyone will post a report about the float when I'm done

That's. What they said. I personally never caught any or maybe I'm not using the right bait. But I know there is a lot of smallmouth I seen a bunch of babies last year while floating

I was reading the conservation website this morning and they said that the James has a great population of smallmouth most rang from 12-15 in and some are 18in. Plus most googel eye are in the 8in rand and a few in 10in range. They also have been stocking walleye in the river as well in 2005 and 2006 and also in 2011 and 2013 with most being in the 12-15in range. Some walleye have been reported being caught as far up as deleware town. So things look very promising for the James but anyway thought I would share that with you all

Went out to fish Crichton today from noon to t 2pm. Was at the same spot I was at on Friday need up catching 8 googel eye and 4 small mouth in the 10-13in range and 3 green sunfish. Caught most of the fish on a Ned rig and the rest on a Texas rigged watermelon chartruce worm with a curly tail. Tight lines very one going to take the fiancé out to my favorite pond to put her on some bluegill this afternoon

Got to get out and do some fishing today with one of my friends at one of my favorite ponds. Caught a bunch of small bluegill today. Like soon as the hook kit the water they took off with it. I did end up keeping 4 thou that was good sized keepers. And caught a bunch of LM bass today also all about 12-15in range let them all go to live another day. Caught all the bluegill on live worms and the bass on popers and small crank baits. It was good to see the bass getting bigger been working on letting them get big for the past couple years. But other than that was a great day to be out fishing with a good friend. Tight lines everyone

Very nice. I was up at Crighton access today and did good. Plan on going back out on Sunday again to see if we can't slay them

Had the day off so got out early with my buddy and we wade fished till noon. Ended up catching 15 Google eye and 3 small mouth all about 10in and one small largemouth. Bait of the day was a Ned rig and hula grub. And sportsman factory outlet had all the stuff you need for the Ned rig there of Bennett by kraft. Fished from 8-noon

If you can float from linden down to ozarl park is good fishing and from Ozark park to were it meets the James is also good fishing floated that last year with a buddy caught bunch of Google eye and some small mouth and lots of largemouth and green sunfish
