  1. 10 or so. I talked to another guy, said he had been out there waiting for them to turn on. He said that should be when the water temp hits 60 the crappie will move to the flat off of the dam in 8-12 fow. He lived close and frequents there.
  2. Caught 6 bass and 1 crappie on the south bank 3 ft deep on minnows under a cork. All were over 16"! Even the crappie! They were coming out of the grass to hit the minnows. Fished for a couple of hours in the standing timber but no luck. They were holding tight to cover 10-12 foot deep in 16-18 fow. Water temp was 54. We lost so many jigs we stuck to the bank and a bobber.
  3. My home water is beaver, even though I can never catch fish consistently there. I get lost in big water so I tend to stick to the tributaries and othe small lakes around, like Fayetteville, Sequoyah, Bob Kidd, and Wilson. Great idea to see where the populace fishes.
  4. Going to Bob Kidd on Saturday. I am going to be looking for crappie. Any ideas on what part, how deep and what to use?
  5. Lake sequoyah. Go to the big open area where both rivers open into the Lake. There is a small Y in the channel here and the just hang out there. Read my introduction and it tells what I Use there. Channel cats are coming off the beds too, my wife caught 5 channels on rebel raider.
  6. Hey everyone, I am new in here and I am from Elkins Ar. I usually fish small lakes because all I have is a 14' john boat. I am going to venture at War Eagle this weekend if anyone knows of a place for walleye or crappie there let me know. I usually vertical jig on structure. It took me a long time to break my dependency on live bait but I finally did. Lake Sequoyah is booming for crappie right now three hours prior to dusk in the mouth of the river on firecracker plastic jigs. My 4 year old bagged 4 last night with a beetle spin, bobby garland patriot swimming jig and zebco 33.
