nice boat . . . nice fish . . . nice family . . . nice day:)

talked to a very well known and respected TRL guide Friday night . . . he said everything will be three to four weeks early this Spring as it was 15-20 years back . . . also had the pleasure of having a conversation with Edwin Evers . . . very enjoyable:)
-
Thanks Ben . . . probably more important data this Spring than ever before with the lack of a real Winter and likelihood of an early spawn . . . I look forward each week to your post:)

I have no idea what your wife made you for breakfast at that beautiful White River Lodge this morning that warmed your heart to such a degree as to prompt you to release such insightful and valuable information to your amateur followers . . . but I hope she serves it up more often . . . thanks Bill:)

great information! thanks to everyone for the very good advice:) CHAMP188 . . . I fish out of a 15 1/2 ft aluminum boat with a 9.9 hp Yamaha (I also have a 5hp Honda) . . . I try to avoid crossing wide open water by launching very close to where I would like to fish . . . at COE ramps, I stay close and avoid the main lake . . . you're rig is much more stable AND can get from point A to point B in a fraction of the time it takes me . . . although your 200 CRANKBAITS might reduce your "top end" by as much as 0.10 mph . . . lol -
I mainly put my boat in at COE or State Park ramps. I would very much like to use other smaller ramps from time-to-time but always feel uncertain as to whether it is allowable. I have included 2 photos of a small ramp on the Raridan Branch of TRL . . . near the hwy 86 bridge and the Eagle Rock area. The photos show the ramp and an adjacent flat, unpaved area where there is enough room to park a vehicle w/trailer without blocking someone else from using the ramp. How do you determine if you are allowed to use the ramp and park on the grounds? Also, as shown in the photo, access to the ramp involves driving through a subdivision. Was the ramp built by the subdivision? . . . is it maintained by the community? . . . I simply have not spent time attempting to find out the answers and have always opted to use what I know to be public ramps to avoid any potential problems.

OBVIOUSLY, if an "AA" equivalent did exist for fishermen who are addicted to "OVER-EQUIPPING" for their sport, the "AA" would stand for "ANGLERS ANONYMOUS" . . . now all we need is a cartoon CARICATURE (definition: a picture or description ludicrously exaggerating the peculiarities or defects of persons or things) and we can set a time and place for the FIRST MEETING OF "ANGLERS ANONYMOUS" . . . what do you think??? . . .

I have never even considered that anyone on the entire planet would have 22 G LOOMIS rods, not even a sponsored pro . . . I have ”1“ . . . and it's an entry-level G Loomis fly rod . . . oh well, I need to take a long walk to "PROCESS" all of these unexpected REVELATIONS that I'm reading . . . I think there is a strong need out there for a FISHERMAN'S VERSION OF "AA"?

actually, I did mention spinnerbaits in the list of "10" . . . HOWEVER, I did forget the A-RIG which I had considered seasonal until Bill Babler's terrific post convinced me that it is a "MUST-HAVE" all year . . . so now I have bumped myself up to "11" . . . and this doesn't even include my all-time favorite way to fish . . . TOPWATER (I am addicted to the Whopper Plopper) . . . since topwater is seasonal, it's not included?
