jeremy, im interested in the black crappie catch>was it off the rock outcrop on the south side of creek?

Lilley as far as flyrodding I only saw one fellow there and he was cleaning house.It was very close to dark and people where very close together.I realize the water is very low in the creek but I have never seen the size and litterally thousands of fish stacking up on the shoulders before>I caught 2 fish over 3 lbs foul hooked in the dorsal with a swimming minnow.Im not bragging but you where reeling over their backs most of the time, makes for strange feeling retrieves.I am not a fly fisherman, just cause I never tried.I own a rod but never used it.I can tell you that the flying insect population exploded yesterday also.Not the itchy typ[e but the forehead landing ones. very true, was there friday evening, people shoulder to shoulder and fish swiming around their feet. As usual some catching dozens others just a few , but saw many happy faces.Also I cant believe the size of the males.Easily 19 inch fish.Just after dark I hooked a fish and was suprised as it continued upstream, most all went down stream when hooked.I couldnt get the fish off the shoal and it swam towards another anglers back, long story short the fish was a monster sow that broke the line as my fellow angler tried unsucsesfully to grab the fish.I laughed so hard , who cares if it got away.I am very impressed at the size of the fish this year, and I havent caught a single runt male yet in the last 3 weeks. Oh, and fellow fishermen, what ever you do, dont ever drive your wifes crown victoria to the creek, and put a 5 gallon bucket full of whites in the trunk next to her incredible garage sale finds..Of course on the other hand the silent treatment is kinda nice for a while.HA HA HA

Guys come on.This is silly.No one in their right mind would run off shore power boats on taneycomo.I too saw the dummy with the twin outboard catamaran on the lake.He was causing quite a stir on a warm day.Way to fast for the lake for sure.He prolly didnt have enough time to put it in at tablerock.Bass pro will have boats and party barges for all to play with.I really doubt if the big boats will fly to good on little taneycomo.And if i was to buy a yaught or speed boat im sure t como wont be on my cruisin list.If you think big boats look funny on t como, you should see the trying to play on k dock.Oh and frenzel ill lay you 20 to 1 odds that youll have a better chance of seein a scarab on taneycomo then a casino.That is if we have any word in it anymore.Ill get off my stump and take a chill pill. just got back from beaver creek.I have caught more walleye out of that 2 foot water in the last week then i did all last year.IN a few years we are gonna be up to our necks in keeper walleyes.oh and I did manage to stumble across a limit of whites.

trust me it aint to early for whites, or walleye or crappie.maybe table rock isnt the lake you need to try

Ignore him, dont patronize his place, surely there are other places to fish besides around his dock.I dont like being hasseled anymore then the next guy, but if you all take business elseware and boycott the place he will be gone soon enough.OH and by the way 30 boats with cell phones? The only thing worse then a jerk boat dock owner is a phone ringing at the lake.Thats my opinion and others may vary. If you know the guys a jerk. I bought some minnows off that guy at k dock one time and i think i got rooked.The darn things where lazy and must have been bad tasters.I couldnt catch anything on them.

Oh the way it used to be.Work 8 months a year, draw unemployment the rest.Nothing to do for the teens except cruise the lake front.Sit on the steps and enjoy the cool air off taneycomo on those 90 degree days.I miss the good ole days but tell you what, there are many good people in branson still, some arent so desirable cause money is the only thing in there lives.You wont find the good ones till you look for them and show your one of them.Branson is still good and I pray it stays good for some time.I have 3 children also and I am not afraid to take them anywhere in the area.The good ole days for tommorrow is today, so live it up.Oh and smile and the world smiles with you.Of course that may only work for the incredably good lookin folks like me.Ha Ha Ha

while you guys are arguing about who caught the most suckers or where the most are , ill be watchin you standin on your ladders and ill be the guy with the thermous of coffee, the swisher sweet in my lips and the crappie on my stringer.Have a wonderful day, and remember leave your phones at home and enjoy the sounds of nature while in Gods masterpiece.

I use the floresant green on my crappie pole.Folks always ask why, and dont the fish see this.I dont know bout the fish but I can see the slightest tap and that helps catch them in the long run.

Do you think the huge amount of gar on the upper part of bull shoals might have anything to do with the shortage?Seems like they are everywhere?I am intrigued by the shad information, and it makes sense, but could the gars be eating all the shad or busting up the balls and scaring the small whites away?theory?I am not a biologist .also could possibly all the pleaesure craft,jet skis, ski boats etc, be keepin the fish away?There has been a marked increase of this in the k dock area{I bet if they went down today and looked at the area with the water gone they would think again.Ha ha.Also i wish the corp was more proud of that area, it is getting in a very very sad shape.Thank you for your support

The mouth of bull creek can be incredible during the spring spawn on huge bluegills.As a bot we spent many evenings there using small 32nd ounce jigs and 2 lb line.Also an occasional crappie will jump in the mix.Did i mention im a crappie fisherman?

I must have this fishing thing all wrong.I GO TO ENJOY MYSELF, who cares if someone looks at me silly. I fish for the soothing powers nature has on a stressed soul.I betcha the eyeballer is too worried about how hes gonna make the payment on his new escalade to enjoy what the lord has given .Oh and i have 3 kids that eat like horses so when i fish I want to bring some home to enjoy.I do not condone short fish in any shape or form but just cause it aint a wall hanger dont mean it cant be ate.Just wish there were bigger crappie in Taneycomo
