  1. hello, My name is John Koch. i am a lifelong nativce of branson.Born in 1963 at skaggs hospital.Alot has changed but the lakes are still my favorite spots.I favor bull shoals over t rock because I can be semi alone and not fight the waves in my search of the elusive 16 inch crappie. My father was a fishing guide in the 60s and 70s here on taneycomo and I never have seemed to get back in the trout groove since then. my biggest rainbow was 11 lbs and some and was caught in bull creek on a small brown jig, while fishing for huge spawning bluegills. If anyone can remember consumers and walmarts fishing contests I won both in same week with same fish.Ha Ha Ha...., Thank you for this forum and this site.P.S. does K dock give fishing reports?
  2. you are correct.THERE HAS BEEN LITTLE WHITE BASS ACTIVITY IN THE K DOCK AND SURROUNDING AREA FOR COUPLE YEARS.i did come across a large school this summer in flats by ramp but next day nothing to be seen. The gar are everywhere, and I honestly didnt see a lot of kentuckies surfacing this year.I am very happy with the crappie in the area and notice numerous beds in the k dock area out of the water now.I caight more keeper crappie then culls every trip. I also am very appreciative in the walkway at the kdock ramp.No more wet tennis shoes firswt thing in the morning.Any one notice that a gar tap and a crappie tip are close,,,,,but the gar really gets your attention on ultra lite.
