  1. "I get the impression that your interest is centered more towards the commercial arena than you indicate. Your posts read far to eloquent and in-depth for someone who is unable to afford a Happy Meal. (No offense intended there, just openly spilling my thoughts)" Exactly
  2. Justin you should check out Bull's Eye Bait and Tackle in Ofallon Missouri sometime, not sure about fliyrod stuff, but its a great store and great people. (Sounds like you may be over that way)
  3. Baldwin yes, its ugly, but its one heck of a fishery. Give it time, it'll come back. I plan on doing some probing this winter with the old crankbait, we'll see. I caught smallmouth after the fish kill still of good size, but the numbers were devastated. Good to hear someone was held to account. That lake the fish have a higher growth rate of any lake i have ever fished. Sounds crazy, but we used to catch these little short STUPMY 4# LMB, what a lake it was. It'll be back.
  4. (No smallmouth though, just LMB and nice rainbows, beautiful place)
  5. Harris fish Devil's Kitchen in Illinois for trout (right now).. All through the year its good, but now its great. 10 hp limit. Will have to stop by the CONWR office and get a day pass first though, i dont believe they are available online. Devils Kitchen (hot/cold like all fisheries) is the best kept secret in so. Illinois.
  6. Thats what i had heard, and good size too. Catch them with regularity there/ is it common to catch them yet,~ or still a big deal when you hook up with one?
  7. Its kind of not so public knowledge, but they are there. You can find the lakes they stock them in with a basic google search.. Better let it go at that. I understand they are hard to locate.
  8. +1 on Pyramid, fish the newer portions of the park, i believe they refer to them as the Arch Coal? additions. Avoid the older original portion of the park, its just ehh, OK. Many many lakes to fish, you can find just about any water your looking for, and move from lake to lake easily.
