  1. OK What the Hell does Jerkbait fishing have to do with Bed Fishing ?
  2. Why does BASS and FLW Schedule a lot of there tournaments around the prime spawning time on a given lake? Seems like they follow the spawn so they can get better camera action on those bed fish. A 60 mile or better boat ride can not be good for the ones full of eggs.
  3. Anyone know how to move it over to BS Forum ? You think it would be on Fire then !
  4. Yeah Them Warts just catch the little ones. No need to throw em. I really do like those 1 oz spinner baits too !
  5. Just had to share ! Can't beat the Old Warts. You know what I mean .
  6. Wart Craw pattern is the ticket right now. 62 or 63 on cloudy days. The 209 red craw is tough to beat when the sun is out. Or perch don't know the #. Custom paints peanut butter/ jelly been working too. Fish are on the move with these fronts. Transition banks working real well. From Pontiac / Spring Creek area. Good solid keeps. Good Luck
  7. Luxury ? Bass Pro Fish Tank ? Those bluegill are going to love those fish eggs !
  8. Nice ! Mostly like the Quick Release !
  9. Can't pull up the video. Could you post a photo ? Was bank fishing the Meramec today above route 66 and caught 8 total. Nothing big 4 spots & 4 brown fish.
  10. Fished up in Flat Creek Wednesday and Thursday 10/21 10/22 Fishing was very slow except for one Big Bite on a custom painted wiggle wart Only caught 10 shorts and one keep spot on a blade. Wart fish LM about 6. Shad were everywhere so they had plenty to eat. I think a little rain is going to help the bite up there as well as the upper James
  11. Nice report. How is the water looking ? Trash still around ?
  12. Fished Flat Creek and the James around point 15 Wednesday. No bass to be had. What I did notice was the ugly nasty green water color . This has been going on for a while in this area. Did not look fish healthy at all . Any other reports ?
  13. I don't think the lake traffic has a whole lot to do with it. Something seems to be wrong as the LM population has gone way down. Have to think it could be with the water quality or something else is going on. The 3 to 5 lb fish are just not there. I used to be able to fish some points in the summer months in say 12 to 25 foot and load up with a football jig or brush hog. Not nearly as much action now. Wish we could get the answer. Good Fishing
  14. I fish the James above Cape Fair quite a bit and also have fished a few of the Cape Fair tournaments. There are some big fish in the James and Flat Creek. What I am saying is it is way off of what it was 2 or 3 years ago as far as keeper fish. I don't think it has had any more bass fisherman up there now than it did say 5 years ago. I do agree most of the guys in the Cape Fair tournaments head down lake and that 16 lb bag came from down there. I do agree that those guys are tough on this lake but they head down lake more than not. Good Fishing
  15. We have a place around point 15 and yes the upper James does get hammered and the fishing the past 2 to 3 years for LM has been way off. I have been catching a lot more SM in that area than I have in the past 20 years and the water has really cleared off in the past couple years when lake is stable. Going down this week end and will report. What does the water look like now ? Any reports. Thanks
  16. Should be a good week end. Headed up the James past the marina All hell is about to break loose ! Not talking about the Spoons either.
  17. First time posting. Live in St Louis but fish point 15 area about 20 trips a year. Parents live in point 15 area. Any Cape Fair area guys on here ? Where did the smallies come from all of a sudden the last 2 years. I am not talking about the james river way up by Galena or the ones way up flat creek. I caught a 6 and three other keepers of one small stretch last fall. This past mid November I hit on a bank and caught about 20 and 8 were keeps, 3 over 18 inches on a 50 yard stretch of bank. These were fat lake brownies and chunky. Never have I ran into a bunch in this area of the lake like that. I know the water is really clearing up in that area. Just want to see if any one else has noticed this. I do enjoy reading this forum Good Fishing
