A buddy and I have plans to finally float the 11 point. We out. 25-30 to float. I'm a big fisherman and would love to get into some smallies and trout. I am thinking about doing about 20 miles of actual floating. N e body have n e ideas of which stretch to float? I've looked at the mile by mile description but that doesn't really talk about fishing. I would like to get into smallies for a couple of days and the rest trout fishing.. N e advise is welcomed. ?
Thanks for the report. Those canoers r crazy! Wow...... I got out yesterday evening and got 5 Kentuckys and 1 15in striper on top. Loads of fun, just had to be patient and wait for them to bust. I tried a spoon but they wouldn't take it. Oh and I did catch 1 LRM, it wasn't very long, about 13in, but man was it fat with shad!! I should have taken pics. Oh well next time.
thanks for the report.... I can't bring myself to get up early and fish on a weekend. Especially after a night at the electric cowboy. Lol. But ya, good report. Hopefully this warm spell doesn't ruin the bite.
Bill I hope to see some whites schooling soon. I've always enjoyed catching them, and heck eating them as well. They're so aggressive and hit like a dump truck for there size.
well I got to the end of the street and had a choice, take a left and go to beaver and possibly get skunked, or go right and head to BV, I took the easy way and headed to BV. Sorry guys. I just couldn't resist, did catch several nice bass though. Here are the 2 biggest. Not huge but nice n e way.
I went out to day for several hrs. Zeroed though. Fished prairie creek, coose, rocky branch, Rambo creek.... Well I did catch a bunch of sun fish on a spinner bait. But I don't consider that really catching anything. Wind was tuff and pleasure boats made it tuffer. Water temp was 80-82
Good job lance. I've never caught a catfish on a crank bait....
Striper season is around the corner for me. Hopefully we can meet up again and go after them big dudes.
That's an awesome day. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try and get out this afternoon if the rain stays away. Glad to here someone getting into them a bit. What the water temp now. It was 86 last time I was out.
I have not caught a keeper walleye this year. I usually bag about 10 good keepers a year but have not this year. But, then again, I don't really target them.
Yup yup. That sounds about what I've been doing (minus the walleye). I was out that morning from 10am-2 and did about the same. Fish r like people, they enjoy nice temps. Lol. Thanks for the report though. How big was the wallie?
Oh I can't wait!! I'll do some deer hunting the first week of bow season and after that I'm back on the water... I'm read for cooler temp.. I'll probably take the family out to HSB and camp for a week or so within the first couple of October. Just like u said Jdoc. Camp fires some coffee in the mornings sounds great!
