    think ill stay in my boat from now on, I realize it's there job, but treating people like criminals,is not right. At Stockton I have always been treated with respect by the conservation.however we did have fun catching those smallest, also noticed a lot of suckers in the river. Anyway God bless all your families, and have a good year of fishing.

    I was fishing a 1/8oz jig with a slab buster, pretty much a grub. I talked to Larry several weeks ago and he said after the bridge, you can fish but it is catch and release all the way to the posts at the river. Even park maintenance said same thing. He said my jig was a no go.said he was giving me a warning took my license ran my name along with my fishing license.but failed to give me a warning on paper. I doubt ill go back cause I do not like to be harassed, especially when my kids are there.

    I went for the first time last year, a lot of big sows, the wife caught one at 5lbs, and I lost a few in that range, gonna fish a umbrella rig this spring

    As for the walleye my friend Grady Goodwin of Willard set the lake record of 9 pounds in the early 90s he was 15 when he caught it, the same year my father caught a 6pounder on a pink and white spinner bait, past maze creek on the flats by accident.

    And yes there is crappie that big, my dad had one on about 18inches and lost it at the boat in sons creek. He was sick over it.

    Well I went yesterday, and caught fish, also a visit from the MDC. A 5 year old can fish it and have luck.
