  1. johnsfolly, the morning can be a good time to fish, but what i have ben experiancing is the best bite is in the evening.
  2. Sorry it has taken me so long to report back. i have been very busy. I did get to fish Wednesday with my to brothers. wWe actually took a boat to get away from the crowd. We all three had a limit of whites and #7 crappie between the 3 of us. We did pull around by the rocks a little before dark . Still elbow to elbow. But the hybrids look like they are starting to pick up.
  3. Thanks slab slinger. I have actually been catching the most of my whites and hybrids late mornig and afternoons when the crowds are not as bad. i will be backup there the next couple days. Fishing from a boat tommorrow not sure about thurseday yet. I will try to make a report both days.
  4. SRJ, nice fish and thanks for the report. I have to say though you are a better man than me. the last couple weeks I have been tearing them up below the dam at warsaw. I have actually posted a report with pics on the tailwater of truman page. but what I wanted to say is the rude people are everywhere. Normally I don't let that kinda stuff get to me. But I got to fish with my daughter Friday and we had a couple push in on her and I nicely told them I had no problem with throwing them intothe lake. Good report as always.
  5. For the last couple of weeks I have been fishing below the dam at Warsaw. The crappie and whites are doing really good right now. The crappie bite is best approximately 30 minutes before dark. But if you have fished below the dam you also will know that with good fishing also comes BIG CROWDS. The whites are off and on all day long. I fished Tuesday and the whites turned on mid-day and was hot all the way till dark. Jerk baits working really well. I have also been seeing a few walleye being caught. I have even lucked into a couple myself. Also picking up some good hybrids with the whites.
  6. I have been really busy the last part of the week. But I did go out with a buddy Wednesday. I had to promise I wouldn't tell where we went. But it was up in the main lake and we got into the whites. Limited out in less than 30 minutes. Mostly big sows. Looked like they were about to explode. Caught them on 1/8 oz white with red eyes jig head and lake fork baby shad with curly tail. Light blue and pearl belly. After I caught my limit I started changing colors and lures to see what would happen. No luck. But every time I went back to the other color started catching fish.
  7. i have a buddy that went wednesday morning and hammered them above just above 10 bridge. one of his buddies went back today and limited out again. i actually have pictures but i havent figured out how to post them on here yet. when it comes to computors i'm dumber than a box of rocks
  8. Jbooth24 I think there might be one east of town. I seen a sign for one on p highway off of east 38.
  9. Sorry it's taking me so long to respond ehertz2. He came from down stream. I didn't talk to him so I really don't know where he caught them. But the few I caught were in deep holes of water that didn't have any current. If anything they were in pockets that had a back current to it and right on the bottom. Hopefully the warm up this weekend will bring a lot more fish up. Thanks for the information Stacy Jordan . Last year was the first time I had ever fished that side of the lake and that was just around the 160 bridge. I actually live in Marshfield so it's an hour drive to any lake so when I go I make a day of it and hit hard.
  10. Probably so since I have to work all weekend. But I will be back at it come Monday.
  11. Where is Hulston bridge at? Had the day off and I have to work all weekend. So I went today. Started at the old bridge and rock bank just down from Aldrich. Nothing , but there was a few guys catching some small channel cats. Left there and went to the steal bridge. Not even a bite there. Talked to two other guys who had the same kinda luck. Move on up to Taylor bridge there was one guy in a canoe who had a limit. So I walked back down to the rock bank. Wound up catching 5 really nice ones pretty quick. And then nothing. Won't get to go again till Monday. But I will be watching what everyone else is do. Thanks in advance. Hope by Monday it will be better.
  12. I work night's so I slept all day today. Not sure how much rain we got. How bad has it effected the lake and rivers if any?
  13. Sandbc , it really was a beautiful day. After fishing for a couple hours without a bite, I just kicked back and enjoyed mother nature at it's best. Thanks for the water temps.
  14. I bank fished around the Aldrich area Sunday evening for a couple hours. Didn't even have a tap. Never saw a fish caught. Water was pretty muddy and very low compared to last year. Does any one know what the water temperature is now??
  15. Shockley 32 Had somethings come up didn't get to go. Talked to a guy up there. Done really good catching below the dam. Don't know for sure but I may try to hit Bolivar landing this afternoon noon. Don't know how the drop of the lake will effect fishing from the docks.
