    Chris, I just checked with my BOAT insurance and found out the rods are covered and only $100 deductible. I had tried my homeowners insurance earlier. Maybe yours does too. Can't hurt to ask right?

      That's awesome.  Is the boat running good again?  What ended up being the problem with the engine?  I haven't been fishing much.

      Well after several fixes that did not work, they determined it was the oil pump. Rare for it to fail. Pricey but boat runs better than ever. Cooler temps on the way. Catching lots of small bass, 8"-10" on crawlers & Ned rig.
