Sent my son down to guide my uncle and my dad yesterday and what a day. All 3 limited out by 4 when we got down there. My neighbor was done by noon. Nice sized,about an average of 11 -13 inches with a few black crappie. 4 catfish and 2 walleye to boot.

Like Bill said,there is alot of turkey's in the Shell Knob area.I have a cabin at the end of Big Creek and we hunt every year a day or two when possible. 2 years ago we sat up on 2 gobblers that wouldn't shut up and in 20 minutes was done with the prettiest wild birds I ever seen.

I should of went today since I am on medical leave at least until 23.Might still go this afternoon.Thanks for the info. Dave

I am going to go watch them this afternoon to check it out since I live here in Springfield.I have even caught whites in the past below the dam.

You fishin by Taylor or upstream?When we went thursday Taylor was to high to bank fish unless walk way upstream so we went to 215.

My son went down today and said Taylor was to high to fish off bank and relocated to 215 Bridge. 2 walleyes and 9 whites on tube baits was brought to my house. Going down in the morning to get in on the action.

How far above Taylor are you going? Gonna try to get down tomorrow since I am on medical leave for the nexted 3 weeks.

Only one thing to say, trout fishes are for real! I met a guy at chute#1 today, we was by ourselfs most of the morning. He comes over and gives me scud to throw out! What the hell is that I am thinking.I am a bank fisher guy with 4lb line. I caught 2 on the rapala then the sucd thing was every other cast.I got 15 fish then when I leeft at 2ish, the rapala bite was on amomst every cast. Thanks Sandy, from Harrison Ark

No water running this morning.About a 2 1/2 silver today, Started playing with them and twitching on top, it worked. Had one fish with the color that reminded me of the old day's,when we had some white trout meat. 1974

Got down about 9:00 and fished the water coming in the lake between the cable and chute 1. Tried a couple of things then tied on a rapala,and ka-pow first cast caught one.Long story short,caught 22 fish from 9 to 11:15 or so. Mostly 12-14 inch bows,some with lot's of color.Still alot of people with no clue what the slot limit is.Was going to keep 2 fish for the wife and I so I was measuring some of the fish I caught.The guy nexted to me said they had 4 on the stringer that couldn't be but about 12 inches and said he might need to use my measuring rule. No problem, he comes back with about 3, 13 inch fish, one bigger than that and a small one that was 12 1/2. He let them go after being on the stringer all morning and only one swam off. Pretty much sucks for the fish at that point.Anyway it was 69 degrees when I got down there and 42 when I got back to Springfield. Lot's of fun! Dave

Well I am glad somebody caught some good fish.Pope and I was boat 41 out of Campbell Pt. and found people on the first two spots we went to. I did start catching fish on a c-rig in about the water you all is talking about 30-40. Would catch 4-5 then nothing. The boat that was on the swim area I don't think moved allday.Been there and done that in the past with lots of fish coming and going as Bill mentioned in just a small area. Still was a good time,good people and good food!

Well yesterday the son talked me into going with his girlfriend and him to the Wonder Pay Lake in Hartville for some catfishing. They stock the pond on mon-wed-and fri from what I gather. We pull up about 12:30 and it looked like opening trout day.They have 3 ponds,one that has 40+ fish in it and two others that most of the people fish in. Long story short,it cost $10.00 a person to fish and you can keep 5 fish. I brought home 5 fish that weighed 22 pounds and 8 ounces. Not any yellow meat on the fillet at all. Would be a blast for the kids if a guy got down on a stocking day.This was the last monday they will stock, but I guess wed and friday is still happening.They didn't stock the fish until noon monday and lot's of people was catching fish when we got there.

Put in at Hawker this morning about 5:30 and took off trolling up toward Mutton. Not a bite after about 2 hours so we went to the south cove of Hawker and fished it out, nothing! Put on a crome Hot"n"Tot to get deeper and the first point we went across,pow a 14" walleye. Kept on going down the bluff back towards the ramp and all 4 rods went down almost at the same time. Cool, we hit a school of 2-3 pound whites in about 28 foot of water.After getting them in we turned around and went back threw the area twice, never to see another bite. Left about 11:00 and it was gettin hot!

Vince,my neighbor told me the same thing.He said they almost taste like shrimps! Haven't tried them yet,still working on all the crappie we got the last few months!

I just called Mo-Dot and the bridge is open. Now let's hope that was what the fish was waiting on! Dave

Should of opened up yesterday the 25th. We went down monday and had to go around threw ash grove to get to old state park. Man what a tough day for us. Only 3 keeper walleye's right in front of the boat ramp when we decided to quit.
