Fished below zinc dam today and did fairly good. Had about 30-40 fish, but nothing really big. Did see one guy bring in about a 5-6 pound striper/hybrid, but that was about it. Had a lot of fun and a lot of wind. There was about ten guys down at the deep run below the power company and I only fished there for about 20 minutes, but that is where I seen the nicer fish landed.
The carp you hook up with down there really make you think you have something nice, but they are still fun to fight. I had about 7-10 over 5 pounds with one big one that snapped me off. At least I hope it was a carp. I also had one sauger about 19 inches that put up a really good fight. When the water is off this is a really great place for plenty of winter action. Also good for a work-out for both your casting and stripping arm as the season starts to get here. Good Luck
