  1. As John already ended up in Outlet 1, you're odds are very good at being the one laughing!
  2. Hey Fellas ... We are thinking of comming down tommarow for the fky tieing class , Mrs. Ducky says there's fishing in our IMMEDITE future Translation if we show up there tommarow we are gonna fish WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO , lol if we do we should be there around 1 ish Mr. Ducky
  3. Mrs. Ducky here...and all I can say is one of you would end up in the water! And the other two would be laughing, saying, now how did that happen???
  4. Nah, it was last Wednesday. Colder than a miner's behind, and not a fish to be had for us!
  5. Welcome back! Glad you're up and running again!
  6. Even though my Chiefs didn't make it (and haven't in my lifetime!) it should be a good game. I have to cheer for the Colts...AFL loyalty and all that. Sadly, John's team didn't even come close...although their last win did allow my Chiefs into the post season! Good thing NASCAR starts soon...maybe his driver will do better. Although, after last season, I wouldn't bet on that, either!
  7. If she were in my class, it wouldn't be accepted! However, online, it is a word. It's "short" for probably. There's a lot of "short fors" online now. Some of them, I was too embarrassed to ask about, but now I know them. Much the worse for the English language, they are becoming accepted in mainstream conversation, and even more formal communications. That's why the letter and even phone call are dying out, and more people use email, text messaging, and even voice mail, and do not actually speak to other people! (There you go...soap box about the death of the English language...as typed on a bulletin board! )
  8. Thanks, I'll try that one out! I'm having fun tying what I can, and making messes of the rest!
  9. I like the patch idea, too...can use it to cover up the holes I rip yanking hooks out of my gloves, pants, jacket...
  10. Mr. Ducky tried for that one, too...and I vetoed it! Told him he could take a picture of me after a day of fishing, but it wouldn't be quite the same! No make-up...my hair a mess...and as clumsy as we both are, it's bad enough to pull a hook out of my hand, arm, leg, etc... But at the end of that day, we have dinner!
  11. I just realized that we were probably on the lake cam trying to fish with the water up and running like crazy! Did anyone get a laugh watching us send the nightcrawlers downstream?
  12. For things to decorate the outside with...you can use pictures, stickers, paint, more magnets, etc. You can use spray shellac to protect it. I made some just for fun out of old Sonic toys. They were little boxes with clips to put on kids backpacks. My son put a sticker on his, I put a picture from a catalog on mine, and John's had some other picture I cut out of something. I did not shellac them, as they weren't well done, but it was fun! I was advised that you need to be careful with the 2mm foam, that it can trap the moisture and let the hooks rust. Any problems with that?
  13. I really need to go fishing soon thx Terry and Dano we are so glad to be back
  14. Count the Duckys in for 3 Mr. Ducky, Mrs. Ducky, and Lil' Ducky!
  15. Well WOW!! , I didnt expect this to get as many of replies as it did, Hello OAF The Duckys are back Man i dont wanna see no more ice unless its in my pepsi cup , We Finally have our power back and internet , we were blacked out for about 5 days then another 24 hrs , We got about 3 inches of ice total . Im glad too see everyone is well and safe .
  16. It was such a blessing to be able to have a place to stay when the temperature in our apartment reached about 35. Our power was out for a total of 5 days, and then went back out for an encore performance once we returned home for another 24 hours. We are blessed to have power now, and I thank God for it! I also thank God for Phil and him allowing us to stay at Lilley's for a few nights. John's mother sleeps with a CPAP, and she really needed a bed instead of the cot at the shelter. We had a great time, and being able to attend the fly tying class on Tuesday night helped give us something else to think about and do. Everyone there was wonderful-Kathy and Lisa, Curtis (who was right-you can't catch anything when the water is that fast and high!). Had our power not come back on, despite having a tournament there, Phil checked and found us some more space down the road. We haven't been members of this forum for long, but we know that there are some very special people on here-especially the administrators, but we know that everyone on here would help anyone else to the best of their ability! Although we didn't manage to catch anything, John had fun skipping the fly tying class to go play with Leonard! Kids...what can ya do?

  21. Mrs. Ducky says NO WAY! And also, Mr. Ducky ends up in the water just trying to cross the outlet. (He later figured out you could go up and around. Bless his heart!)
