  2. ok, Ill be sure NOT to fish that area.. Maybe I will just stop there with my coffee & bag of cookies.. (in case someone sees me)..
  3. Yes, it looked pretty good to me. I seen a Bassboat back in the right channel. Seems the bluff walls there were pretty steep
  4. Carp can be fun to catch... Just say'n.
  5. Sounds like an "inside story" to me... LOL
  6. Ok thanks for the tip. Hard to believe that them little o-rings can seal out water.

  8. I still have theses two Stainless steel rod holders. Brand new never used. $35 for BOTH.
  9. My trolling motor is currently out of service. Hate being on the water with only one power source. Especially in the wind.
  10. Thats good to know. Thanks.
  11. My brush & gasket set arrives today. I am thinking about also using "Permatex Gasket Maker" with the o-rings and seals. This is the last time I want to do this. Whats your opinion on my Permatex idea.
  12. I was looking for some new fishing areas closer to H.I. I stumbled on an area where the Roaring river dumps into Table Rock (North of Eagle Rock). I could not fish due to sudden whitecaps and I got the heck outta there. It looked pretty good to me. Anyone have any comments on. this area ? Any Crappie there ? LMB ? Thanks, Bill
  13. You know how the saying goes, never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over...
  14. Thanks, I already ordered a Brush kit that contains all the seals as well. May as well do it right ! $25.
  15. Yeah, thats what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation...
  16. I have been using CarbonLite rods from BassPro for many years and have has 3 of them sustain damage (maybe operator error or maybe manufacture defect) never the less, BassPro replaced them even 2 years out of warranty without a receipt. Either these rods can't take a lot of abuse, or I am just too rough with them. I have never had any problems with any other of my rods- yet again I use my CarbonLites 75% of the time. (The standard Johnny Morris rod does not apply as my guides were stepped on my a boat guest) Never the less BassProSHop replaced the CarbonLites EACH time without too many questions is pretty awesome customer service. Just saying !
  17. I have repaired my trolling motor a few times. 1 bad switch in the head unit, and a stuck contact in the motor unit-TWICE (24V but that is probably irrelevant).. Anyway, each time I opened the motor casing there was about 1 cup of water in there. As that does not seem normal- the two little O-rings don't seem they would offer much to keep water out. Maybe the O-rings are shot & I need to replace them as well as the little "sliding" contacts. 1) should any water be inside that motor casing ? Thanks, Bill
  18. Yesterday we were from H.I. marina to near Eagle Rock. Fishing was slow.. Only a couple of short Spots. Too windy for me..
  19. Thanks Bo. I think it is starting... Seen bubbles in several places yesterday. I read that Beaver Lake has started as well.
  20. I have NO experience with the water turn over on Table Rock. I know what it is, but don't know how it affects fishing. Will the fish follow the water temp or just shut down completely for a while ? Any discussion helpful. Thanks.
  21. Yesterday I was fishing near the Castle & RR Bridge (where the kids jump off). Just for MY Fyi, I trolled really close to the cliff edge to check out the bottom on my down scan. I seen a live snake with big diamond pattern go into a hole on the rocks. This thing was as big around as a baseball I got within 10 feet ( I thought someone skinned something when I first seen it). Didn't get my cell phone out in time.. I will return with my camera & try to get it next time . Snakes.... Yipes.
  22. Yes, I seen a few larger boats.. There are TWO parked at the marina right now. One even has the rotating radar antenna on top.. Like ya really need THAT on Table Rock..
