  1. The Corps will open 5 gates today at noon. Here's the email I got - We will be opening some of our gates at noon today. Table Rock iscurrently 1.7 feet into the flood pool and we need to be passing 15k cfs.Power release is about 10k cfs. This release is due to us having one of ourgenerators out of service for scheduled maintenance. We will open 5 gates opened 1 foot each at 5,000 cfs to today make up thedifference. I expect this operation may last through the end of this week. With the 5 gates open one foot each at lake elevation 916.7 feet will pass4990 cfs through the spillway and our power release will be 10K cfs for atotal release of approximately 15K cfs. Note: Shad should be pouring over the dam so anything white will be a killer bait
  2. Deltakid - If you've been reading this forum for as long as you've been a member, you should know the tone of those who are heavy handed and those who mean well. In no way did anyone jump on you or will make fun. I think you should reconsider your statement.
  3. That's one of those, "first cast" jinx... fish on! One of few.
  4. I learned a long time ago that if you want to send a bunch of people to a spot on a river or lake, post a good detailed fishing report here and they will come. 4262 unique users visited this forum on Friday... most are looking at the major lakes on this forum. But what you can take from all the information anglers have shared on this site, including articles and postings, is the useful knowledge and then apply it to your fishing trip. Before long, hopefully you'll be the one sharing info and pictures of big fish and then you can share "spots"... or not.

  7. I got a video of the weigh in but I'm not sure how it turned out. I know I missed the first guy weighing his fish cause I forgot to turn the camera on!
  8. Are you kidding... even I looked at this topic because- when are you going to see a title like that??? I thought it was a spoof.
  9. Some left early, before the picture was taken, but here's the group.

  11. 12:15 - Me and Babler are stinking it up....
  12. Duane took some friends out late this afternoon and came back with a good story... and a fish to back it up. White/gray/gray head 3/32nd ounce jig. Hooked above the Narrows in the trophy area. Released at the dock. 27 inches. 11.06 pounds. Duane can fill in his name and the play-by-play story. His first name is Donnie.
  13. Put new power steering units on our G3 s. Selling Seastar mechanical rotary steering with a 12 foot cable. 2 full kits. $75 each.
  14. Get a lot of strikes but few hookups. And you're right it's because of the size of the ned.
  15. I heard as many as 8-12 for us. My neighbor called and said he was pulling boats out... not going to be caught behind like last time. I sent him the NOAA map.
  16. We didn't look. Having too much fun looking at the lake and fishing alittle.
  17. We had to fish.... This brown had a sculpin in its mouth AND took DD's jig.
  18. Got out and quickly took a bunch of pictures of the lake while the water is off today. The Narrows - channel is much narrower and in places more shallow than before. Gravel is out of the water on the edge, something I've never seen. Lots of wood stick ups on the flat itself. Lookout Island - the area above the island - there looks to be a chute of moving water but couldn't tell for sure. If it is, it should be like rebar or Trophy Run chute which would be excellent! The island is much bigger too. Stopped at the Narrows and walked back behind. There were fish in pools and they were hungry. Rebar isn't as defined as before. Water bleeds off in many directions, not the big chute that was there before. Outlet #1. Trophy Run Chute is impressive! It's what Rebar used to be but bigger. This may be the place to fish from now on. View from the top of the dam. Next image is undated but shows the difference between now and then. The gravel bar at Rebar is much smaller now. Rebar chute doesn't run by the stump but dumps in above it and turns towards it. Undated photo off Facebook.
  19. Never gave it a thought when I created this one... it was a late add. It should be under lakes I guess rather than rivers...
  20. Don't remember it. "Ham" from the forum?
  21. You got that righ
  22. Here's the latest... it keeps moving east, past our basin. 4-5 inches of rain over 3 days is nothing, especially seeing how dry the ground is.
