  1. You guys might want to look at Danelectro. They've come back with the '63. It's a nice "go-to" axe for fun play'in. As for me, I have an older Martin...but if I had my druthers....I'd get an Avalon Legacy anyday (after I sold my car to afford it)! If you ever need mic's or PA gear for these bands.....give me a shout! It's what I do! Bill
  2. Yep...got one here. Picked around for a few years......still not too good, but have a great time playing!! Bill
  3. I've had my Launch for a bit over a month now. Best fishing purchase I've done.....best bang for the buck. Bill
  4. We're okay here by Rockaway Beach and our son and family in Billings are fine too.....just none of us got any sleep. God Is Good!!!! Bill and Cheryl
  5. Well, here's my .02. Just started flyfishing last year and I'm 52. Here's what it boils do to for me: For the most part it's relaxing, challenging and great for the heart...it just makes me feel good! For the most part the folks you meet are pretty nice and willing to teach and be taught. The scenery is excllent, the fish are beautiful but most of all......It's just fun!!!!!!
  6. Olevia is making a better name for themselves. A few years ago they were a little "iffy". They still aren't on the same level as Sony, Panasonic etc....but they don't try to be. Like eveyone else said......so far so good...buy it. Bill
  7. For the past year, I've read about folks catching 20-30-50 trout and being home in time for breakfast while I was doing good to catch one or two in a weekend! Well Sunday it was more my turn. I was about thirty feet below chute 1, fishing a single, smaller variation of a gray/red Czech nymph. By noon I had brought 15 nice browns and bows to hand. Man that was fun!!!! Sorry, no pics. Maybe I'll get a camera for Christmas. Talk to you all soon!! Bill
  8. That's too funny! I get a version of the e-mail from that guy asking for audio / concert gear.....he does make the rounds! bill
  9. Ditto Dano.....Rusty Midge. One of the few I've actually learned to tie, fish AND catch with! See Ya, Bill
  10. Oh My......I'm working way too many hours and fishing far too few!!! Very nice fish Leonard!!!! Bill
  11. My son and his family live just about half way between Billings and Clever. Heard lost of wind and had hard rain. They are okay...but were out of power for a few hours. Bill
  12. I'm good for it too!!! Last years meet was a great day! Bill
  13. Absolutely....Welcome! There is a great bunch of prople here. You will enjoy the forum. Bill
  14. Hey Everyone, Been flyfishing just over a year now and I'm looking to step up just a bit from the Hobbs Creek rod I started with. Looking at the Sage Launch...or that price range for a 9' 5wtfor use mainly on Taney. Looking for input. Thanks for the help!!! Bill
  15. Excellent post Dano!!! As for me....I had just gotten my discharge papers (yes, they were honorable ones...;-} )from the Navy and was traveling cross-country heading home.
  16. Oh man...that is a great collection. My dad and I produced a Sunday morning radio show back in those days...I'd bet we used every song on that collection! Phil Keaggy is an amazing musician...I'd love to meet him sometime. Maybe next time the Millers (from up by KC) come for a visit, we could hook-up for a visit. Bill
  17. They do have a good sound! I've been a Christian musician, vocalist and engineer for over 40 years...I absolutely love hearing new groups, new sounds and the new ways peopel are getting Gods word out! It is been a long time dream of mine to be able to provide a venue here in the Ozarks for Christian Artists. The old City Limits theater would've been a good one. Ask your friend if he has any CD's from another Colorado artist named Shannon Waxelberg. She has one of the purest voices I've heard plus she writes and scores most of the stuff she records. Blessings, Bill
  18. That is EXELLENT news Terry...now maybe I'll finally get to meet you! I can't begin to tell you how many times that i felt like I was falling thru the cracks of life only to find out it was God trying to get my attention. It's not that I can't hear Him or that he is vague......sometimes I'm just not too quick! I pray Blessings and Prosperity for you and your family and especially healing for your daughter (a bout with DKA can be a real heart thumper!!!)! I'm a diabetic too. See You on Taney!! Bill
  19. If you see a silver Town and Country...that be me. Hope to see ya! Bill
  20. Going to do some fly fishing in the morning (will get there about 5:am or so). Anyone going? PM me or post here....I'll check back during the day. Been working too many hours....not played enough hours... Hope to see you there! Bill
  21. I don't know about Missouri in general...but on Taneycomo, while at / on the lake the trout must be completely intact. Head, tail and all. Bill
  22. That's pretty much the rig to use. The only thing I do different is adding a larger egg weight to get out a little further. I use the splitshot as a stop for the egg weight. Other than that, small hook, powerbait eggs (any color with a white one added or a small piece of worm. If Rockaway doesn't produce, try going to Empire Park dock. Have a great time!!! Bill
  23. My wife and I were caretakers of a resort in Mountain Home a few years back...had one repeat customer that would start coming down mid-summer thru late fall. EVERY full moon he had a reservation. Always did excellent night fishing on Norfolk lake...never would tell me what he used..but we had his pictures all over our fish-catchers wall of fame!
  24. Hi Guys, It has been a little quiet lately. I was out Sunday afternoon and a little on Monday and Tuesday evenings and it was really slow fishing off of the docks at this end of Taney...not sure why. Maybe that's why it's been so quiet....no much to say. It was still better than working though ;-} Bill
  25. I got to go out for a bit yesterday afternoon 'til about 5 o'clock. Caught most of mine just up from chute #1 on a P & P or black zebra midge. Either dead drifting or a bit of a downstream swing. The ones I caught were in the 16"-18" range and were fighting strong. All-in-all...an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon!!
