  3. Have you tried the Bink's Spoons for those deep stripers?
  4. BINKS REPORT 8/28/16 As you can see in photo we went walleye fishing today. We caught several other species along with the walleye. Most of the fish are in 30 to 40 feet of water, because of the low oxygen in the lake. This is one time of the year when you can catch all species no deeper than 40 feet, like I said before many times it's like shooting them in a barrow. There is one trick to catching these fish consistantly , what I mean is catching them every day every day. That method is what i call Binks drop and pop witch i will show in my up coming seminars this spring. When all else fails this new method will work as you can see in the walleye photo. I must say while using the spoon only keep what you can eat it's like a deadly weapon when you Drop a Spoon !!!!!!!!! Keep it Simple Drop a Spoon Binks Guide Service
  5. I checked today, it was a Kentucky bass.
  6. Yes, biggest perch I've ever seen.
  7. Bink's Report: 8/26/16 Great day on Norfork this morning. Took the wife out for a few hours and she caught everything that swims . Stripers, hybrids, walleye, white bass, large mouth bass, smallmouth bass , she even caught a big Gar. You talk about a fish that can fight if you ever catch one you know what I mean. I thought it was going to burn up my reel. What a fish !!!!!! Well the best thing that happened I caught all the walleye on a 1/2 oz spoon and she caught all the rest on a 1 oz spoon. There was a big difference in the size of the spoon to what species you caught. So I switched to a 1 oz and started to catch big hybrids as in photo. Best size Walleye 1/2 oz Stripers 1 oz Best color Walleye white with red throat, Stripers Arkansas shiner Best place 1/2 way back in creeks with off color water Best depth 32 feet Best method vertical DROP A SPOON, BINK
  8. Blackburn's two bedroom cabins are $65.00 per night for up to 4 people. They have 4 at that price, one at 62.00 and two at 73.00. These are off season rates.
  9. Going back through the posts I have Dan Hufford, J.M, Phil Lilley, Nomalites,Riverwhy, grizwilson,Bird Watcher, Stein, and My Self. That's eight boats( I and another person will go in Darrell's boat). Will everyone be bringing another person with them? If we could get two more boats we could split it up and book him for 6 days instead of three. I will come down for the six days and pay my share along with another person for all six days. APR 5-7 Would be the other dates. That's a Wed through Friday.
  10. If everyone agrees I will lock it in with Bink
  11. Also, if we are going to do night fishing there are plenty of spots that are close to Blackburns so you wouldn't have far to go in the dark.
  12. Looks like APR 8th through the 10th would be a good time. This is a Saturday through Monday. Full moon is APR 11th. Blackburn's Resort is a great place to stay and only a 15 minute boat ride to Quarry Marina where Darrell is.

  15. When coming off the lake today at Norfork Dam launch, another man was also leaving. He fished with Binks yesterday (8-17) and learned how to use Binks spoons. He bought several and fished alone today. He used a white spoon with red throat and landed a 31" 12 # striper and a nice hybrid too. He is from Cabot, AR and said this was his first time coming to Norfork. He sang praises for Binks. I agreed as I've fished with Binks twice. Binks is a great guide and explains what he does so you can too. Thanks to Binks for being a great part of the Striper Club and helping all of us to be better at this thing we call "fun". 16. BINKS REPORTGOOD DAY ON THE LAKE TODAY, WE CAUGHT SEVERAL FISH USING THE NEW GLOW IN THE DARK SPOON AS SEEN IN THE PHOTO.BINK
  17. Three days guided would be $1050.00 not $350.00
  18. Here's what I'm thinking. I'm assuming each boat would have two people? I would also come down with another person and go on Bink's boat. That would be a total of twelve of us. (Assuming we have five boats. Eight people responded to this post. Darrell said he could handle five boats) If we scheduled it for the spring around late March or early April we could hopefully hit a time that we could have top water action in the early morning for stripers, spooning for walleye, 1/4 oz jig head with Mann's Grub for large and small mouth, spooning for stripers late afternoon and early evening, and working the banks with stick baits a couple hours before dark to a couple hours after dark for stripers. A few days before full moon would be best. We could try to schedule a Friday through Sunday trip if that would help for work schedules. Darrell would normally make $1050.00 for three days of guiding. If we paid him 1500.00 that would be $125.00 for each of us. If we each gave him 150.00 that would be $1800.00. Let me know your thoughts.
  19. Two of many caught again today. Same place same spoons.

AS IT HAPPENS MOST OF THE TIME IF THERE IS A LADY IN THE BOAT SHE WILL CATCH THE MOST AND THE BIGGEST FISH OF THE TRIP. SHE THAN CAUGHT THE BIGGEST WALLEYE OF THE TRIP AS IN PHOTO AGAIN FISHING OUT OF THE BACK OF THE BOAT.
