  1. I was at Pomme this last weekend...mainly more towards the Bolivar side. The lake is certainly still up and if heading towards the river ends expect some floating wood especially early morning when it is calm. We launched from Lightfoot park which was in decent shape but no dock. Same goes for the Bolivar Landing ramp. Fishing was hard for us. We fished morning to noon'ish a little in the late afternoon. Best luck was mid morning for us. 1 white bass, 1 blue gill, a hand full of small'ish bass. The best catch was easily the white bass and the one rather large LM bass I lost on a ned rig when it got stuck under a flood tree then was able to jump
  2. Yep, I tried. Even that wasn't much luck. I was trying nearly every trick I knew. Even the original "shoreline" was pretty deep. It was pretty crazy being used to seeing 10-15 foot dead trees in the middle of a cove and we couldn't see them at all last week. I finally got checked at Pomme last Fall. I get checked around KC pretty often. Have those licenses ready . I wasn't in the kayak that day though.
  3. Of course these conditions were pretty rough. I'll be back at Pomme later this month . I'm hoping with the weird tough weather things will be be on fire around then. And no, you can't. You'll beat them! I bet it will get much clearer by then but I thought it was pretty darn murky. Guessing a lil but I'd say no more than 1-1.5 feet with my red pedal.
  4. I'm actually glad you posted this. Me and my little brother did some Kayak fishing Sunday afternoon to evening and then morning to mid afternoon on Monday... I caught one bass with a wacky under some flooded trees branches and then another with a top water lure Sunday. Monday was a complete wash for both of us...not even one bite. Was pretty discouraging being out in the sun near all day and not even rewarded one bite while washing flooded waters. Better than being at work still
