  1. Nice! I'm headed there this Thursday-Sunday, if you told me right now I'd have those catches, I'd take it. I've been there once before years ago in late october, but don't remember much about the lake. Our club from Illinois is coming four hours to fish. Not looking for secrets, but any pointers to help the learning curve? Are fish all post spawn over there? How far up the rivers can I go before you have to worry about navigational hazards? Feel free to email me at dough4200@yahoo.com if you don't want to put it out here 🙂
  2. First, I want to say thanks for all the info you've all given me the past few days, very helpful. My little club (25 boats) from IL is having a derby down there this weekend. I'm lucky enough to get to prefish Thursday and Friday, never seen the lake before. If the lake were divided up in 3 sections, White River east of James, west of James and the James itself, and you could only fish 2 of the three, which one are u not fishing?
  3. Thanks for the tip, I never realized this feature was on there. I feel like a dummy now.

    Line Size?

Thanks for all the input, I heard what I needed to hear. I I was hoping I wasn't going to have to spend a bunch of $$ and respool a bunch of rods just for one weekend that I won't be fishing a mudhole like I usually do.
  5. Thanks for all the replies, guess I just need to be patient til my hot spots map arrives tomorrow. I used the navioncs map but didn't see channel mileage markers, maybe I need to look again.
  6. Where can I find the distance between places. I saw a map with some points numbered, but that can't be mile markers right? For example, how far from Kimberling city bridge to Ants Creek? Dam?
  7. Headed down to the Rock from IL next weekend, never been there before. I hear the water is really clear, but I have to think with all the rain the water has some color. Can I get away with the 12-15lb line I have on all my reels, or am I gonna have to respool lighter line?
