Hello, Heading down to the shell Knob area tonight for the weekend. Any suggestions on what is working right now? Depths? Spots to go in that area? I only get down a few times a year. Thanks in advance.

I was down at Tablerock about a month ago and you all provided some great tips. I’m gonna be heading down to the Shell Knob area tomorrow, 6/29, and will be there until the 4th. I know the fishing has changed a bit in the last month or so, so I was looking for some pointers on what is working right now and some good spots? Any help is greatly appreciated. I unfortunately only get to make it down around the holidays, so not ideal. But I love to fish and always am looking for some pointers. Thanks!

Did pretty decent, at least for my standards. I was out with my dad both Saturday and Sunday morning. We caught about 12 each day, most of which were keepers. Stuck with a whopper plopper both mornings and it did well. I unfortunately don’t get to get out down there much as I am just down a few times a summer. Going to be down for the 4th of July holiday for several days in the same spot. Thanks again for all the advice and tips. The recommended spots worked out great.

Thanks for all the suggestions and tips. I will be staying right on Needles Eye Rd which is in the cove right across from the island. Looking forward to catching some. I’ll stop by and say if I see you out.
