How much portaging on a June float trip?

I have a canoe with a 3 HP outboard. I would like to put in and take out at the same spot so I don't have to have my campground owner drop me off. Would that be doable between Barclay and Nianagua Lake? I'm not wanting to run the whole distance; just a 6-8 mi float like between Moon Valley and Bennett ot Bennett and Barclay. We've done kayaks or canoes on that part of the river. I'm thinking of putting in at the Lead Mine Conservation area. Phil
