My understanding is a 2 yr work project updating of the hatchery runs and other hatchery projects. Similar to what was done at Roaring River.
This has been a planned project for several years according to Ben Havens, hatchery manager.
If you or anyone else who might be interested, and is around the park on Wednesdays, there is a group of people tying flies, drinking coffee, and "losing the big one" in our conversations. Bring your vise and materials and sit and tie a few flies. We are there 9 am to about 12 noon. We are at the old hatchery building, the drive at the end of the stone bridge, see the sign on the bridge.
Ben usually comes through and visits with us.
