speaking of generation anyone know the generation report? I usually get this from Jeremy Hunt's website www.taneycomotrout.com, however the site is being updated/under construction and Im not sure of the generation Hopefully only running one unit? Maybe wishful thinking

Is this still near shepards hill hatchery? Again pardon the ignorance, just not real familiar with the area seeing as my father in law will be coming down later in the day

Ok boys, I need a little help... Heading down to taney this weekend. My father in law knows taney real well. I have only fished it once, and we waded in near the shepards hill hatchery. Now since I would think they would still be generating where abouts should I go to fish? We wont be getting a boat, but I would still wade.. Probably be extremely cold, but if I can get away with it I will. I just need to know where the wifey should drop me off Thanks fellas

Thanks guys for the replies! I also wanted to say a big thanks to Carolyn and Dan at the river outfitters shop. I called them up for some pattern recipes and they were gracious enough to tell them to me, and send me a personal email with the recipes as well. Talk about top notch service Thanks again!

Well the trip to taneycomo was postponed due to the weather. Headed out to busch lake #21 only to find out all the lakes out there were frozen over Oh well, will have to wait till this weekend to get my fix...

Leonard, thanks for the tips Now the wifey and the mother in law are saying that it may get too crappy to drive back up to St.Louis on Sunday if it snows and what not Worse case scenario... 20 min drive to busch. Regardless, Im fishing somewhere

Lilley, Any recommendations on flies? I did stock up on some zebra midges, black and red, and I bought a bunch of sowbugs as well.. Any help would be appreciative

Going to brave the weather this weekend, and fish with my father in law.. Driving down tomorrow morning, fishing, and hope to fish again on Sunday. Weather wont stop me from fishing... Maybe the snake eyes freezing will slow me down though

Thats a good question. Im curious about that myself, as Im going down there with my father in law to fish as well. He doesnt want to get a boat, and if the water is high, last I checked its up 9ft; and we cant wade, can you fish from the bank? I know there are alot of trees on both side.. Might hinder my casting a little bit

Hope your up and fishing soon Terry! I had surgery on mine last Jan in 06. I was out a week from work, but it healed quickly. They do say once the meniscus tears, we are now prone to arthritis in our knees in the future But good luck to you. John, thanks for the info... What a shame. I feel bad for my kids, kids. Norfork river used to mean alot to me. Every yr when we leave, I cant wait till the next 12mos have passed and we get to go down again. I like the comradre that we have when we are down there, however fishing is a big part of that fun we all enjoy. Great places that once inhabit the earth, will be gone, thanks to money grubbing whores... Excuse my speech. However I wish people can just leave beauty the way it is, and let us outdoorsmen have some part of wilderness that will stay intact for years to come. This is truely a disgrace. Going down next month with my dad and some friends staying at genes and lodge 7 on the river Any new news on the conditions down there? I would call Gene's and ask however I would think they'll want your business regardless, and not give a straight answer. Any ideas on good flies to tie down there as well? Thanks guys

Just wanted to say hello to all my fellow anglers out there. Im not new to fishing however I am new to fly fishing. I have been primarily been fishing out at lake 21 at buschs waiting for the season to open to hit up some streams. My goal this yr is to hit all of the parks, and some other smaller streams.
