Last weekend we put the boat in and the battery was dead even after an overnight charge. Both the cranking and deep cycle were 4 yr old interstate oem's new with the boat. Replaced both with everstart batteries from Wally world. I agree with the guy who uses everstarts. I have had them in both trucks, tractors and boats for years. Less expensive and last just as long as the high priced ones.

Also, if the water is off stay away from the mouths of the creeks above Branson. There is a gravel shoal coming out from all of them. I have seen a lot of boats bust a prop or lower unit by getting too close to short creek or fall creek.

If you ever had really good sushi you would know it.....if you like fish you would like the good stuff especially if it is made with ahi tuna. ymmmmmmmmmmm. Haven't seen a lot of real good sushi floating around in the Ozarks.

Phil, how do you think it will affect the lake? What would happen without the scuds and how long do you think it would take them to become re-established. Sorry for all the questions but I am sure your post is of concern to all of us who love the lake and the trout there. Thanks.

Just got back on from my trip. We sure did hit them good. Did the same thing on Friday. Nice size fish too. Had one bow and brown that went at least 18. Caught a bunch on every drift from the cable down to KOA.

Does anyone have a report from upper LT? What is working and how is the water?

Web, everything is the same. It used to come on real fast. Now it says ready and I hit the play button. Then it says opening media and nothing happens. Headed that way later this week and wanted to get a look at the water condition. Maybe someone could post a clean link to it and it would work. that's what the help thing on my computer said to do.

I am using explorer and all it says is "opening media" on the screen. It worked a couple weeks ago for me but not now. I refreshed the setting twice to see if that would help but it didn't.

Phil, is the lake cam on the OA site not working? I can get it to go on.

Come to Taney for the trout and stay at Lilley's. Taney fishes great on high water.

If you don't get too much more rain how long will it take for the lake to go back to normal?

Phil, how high is the water at the resort? Saw a CNN report that the campground in downtown was flooded. Hope it goes down pretty soon. What do you think the effect will be on the fishing?

I fish Montauk quite a bit. What holes do you like the best. We like the big wide hole above the dam. Have seen some monsters come out of it.
