we were down there this wknd as well. I didn't fish much as I was helping and teaching my wife how to fish. She refuses to touch anything but the pole. We fished the low water bridge and then from behind maintenance shed to the low water bridge. caught some fish but threw back a bunch of small fish. We haven't been down there in a few years and we thought the total stream is getting shallower. it just seems the holes are filling in with sediment. very disappointed in size of fish amount in the stream and again depth of some holes. whats your opinion on this? maybe its just me. all in all wife kept 6 I kept 2. that's all we need.

rumor is my buddy said someone caught a 6.5 lb brown by lodge today

very nice review. Montauk is my favorite stream. im a novice fly fisherman but I always try it there. if you ever are looking for someone to go to Montauk I will go. brian
