Bill, it is wonderful to hear how someone works so hard and makes a good living. I am so sick and tired of listening to so many people that want it just handed to them. Even if they do work 8hrs a day, they think its killing them. Many I have talked to in the last couple weeks dont have jobs, but wont go to work "here" or "there" because they think its not good enough for them, all the time they are behind on their house payments, car payments, and still go "out" to eat half the time. Had a guy I know the other day telling me how long it had been since he had worked. I have seen his work ability so I asked him if he wanted a job. His first words were that he would not work for under $25 an hour. I dont even pay myself near that. Guess he will stay home until the bank kicks him out! Ok, im getting down from the soap box now. Keep it up Bill, always say that you make your OWN luck.

If anyone needs any pointers, will do what I can.

Thanks Abk. Some dang fine guys fish this event, someone normally finds one or two. Last month or longer it seems only one or two get found each event. Normally we get around 5 to 8 6lb or better each event in late summer.

Techo. We (Todd and I) have fished every Millcreek tourney this year except one. We qualified back in late June. To qualify you have to fish at least 9 events I believe. We have fished 22 now out of 23.

Bill, now you tell me. Went out dropshotting this morning around Baxter. Found the same thing. One fish here and there, lots of 12" fish. So moved shallow and didnt do well there either for a short time before the rain run us off the water. At least I got one good day in of doodling for them last week.

Went in the kimberling area this morning. Toke my dad, nephew, and son. we drop shotted crawlers around 25' to 35'. Caught 2 keeper kentucks, 1 brownie, 6lb flat, and a 4lb. channel. No wally sightings, . Had a fun morning.

Techo, yes pre for the millcreeks. Bill, I found a yellow magic couple weeks ago for $5. Been dieing to give it a try. That brownie ate it like candy. As he came by the boat the first time I couldnt even see it. She was out in 12'. No rime or reason, and trust me I could not make it happen again. And yes, thats a storm that a keeper kentuck swallowed to the nose. Found a small school chasing and tossed it out. While I was reeling that one in, I saw a large shad get ate close to the boat by a big old green pig. Swear that she looked 8 to 10lb. If only I had footage of the video in my mind. The shad jumped twice and she came out of the water with it disappearing in her mouth as the shad fell on the second jump. I almost stepped on the rod in my hand with the fish attached to cast something else, course she was probably full at that time. And again, I stayed and came back and could never reproduce the kentucky or any of the old girls friends showed themselves.

Sorry to hear techo. I went this morning for 3 hours, caught the trifecta. Keeper smallie, kentuck, and greenback. few other shorts. The best pattern I could find is that once you caught a fish on a bait, take it off and try a different bait. I was prefishing thou, so I was moving alot. Caught fish on a jigging spoon (casting and jigging), pigstickers baxter jig, spinnerbait, popper and a swimmer. Fish came out of 35 to 10 foot, some over 80. Caught fish on a roll off and all the way to the back of a wind feed pocket.

Justin, went throu 3 of the cheap ones from bp. I finally bought one from tablerockblacklights. Its awesome and has a great warranty. I understand you are just looking for cheap, but if you ever want one to last give him a try.

Bill, would love to hit an eye down here. I will give it a try. Is that bite early early, morning or all day? Might not be able to make it out till late afternoon without taking off work for it. But chance to catch a good eye for the grease is close to me getting deathly sick.

Bill, I will say that I love the owner hooks for texas rigging. I understand that they cut a big hole, but they take little effort to drive a heavy gauge hook compared to most. The best thing I have found is that on big fish, we would "roll" the point as the hook hits their crushers a few times a year and always lose that big fish. Since I have went to the owners for texas rigging, I havent rolled one this whole year. Love gammys but have went to the owner.

Rps, I tried the white spoon sunday for 2 hours with no takers from eyes in his exact area. Not that it wont work, but I was wanting the same thing. Woody, Im sure if you keep after them, just as rps says, U will happen on one. I just swung and missed.

Pigstickers Jigs are awesome. Great hooks and no ewgs used. Bout the only jig I buy now.
