  10. Im with mitch. I tried to deal with St. Croix on a rod that my dad bought and broke. Sent in the money and it never got picked up. Called the company twice, to be told that the did not recieve the money. Second time I faxed my a copy of statement to show the charge and they said again they didnt recieve a payment. Gave up from there and will not own anouther one.
  11. Aaron, would if there was anything working worth talking about. We have caught fish in the last two weeks from 8' to 40'. Gravel and chunk rock, worms, craws, jigs. Toke my nephew a couple weeks ago and we caught quite a few on single spins. As lots of guys said about the spring, its time to junk fish. Take lots of rods, tie on lots of lures and keep moving. If you get bit, drop anchor and canvas the area with multiple lures. Really its the best I know right now. Went last night, fished from 730 to 3am. Think we only had 3 keepers. In the last tourney with a 4 fish limit, we only had 3 keepers to weigh in.
  12. The thinking is that less bass in the livewell will keep them healthier. Less demand on the dissolved o2. Little bit easier to keep the water temp cooler also. Will go back to 5 fish in september. We strive to make sure we do all we can not to hurt them any more than we have too.
  13. Remember this is 4 fish limit now, july and august. Fox and Woods caught an average of 16lbs two nights in a row in four fish. Awesome job.

  15. Kim does an awesome job at Cape Fair Marina. Have never heard any bad words to be said. Mic, I will c about getting her to make a report.
  16. Amen.
  17. Like the jika rig, I might have to try that one.
  18. We have one saturday night tourney a month. One left next sat. http://www.millcreekteamnighttournaments.com/
  19. To be clear, I have no problem with them being out there. They get to use it as we do. But if when Im sitting still and I can hit them when I cast, they are extremely to close. Wonder what they would think of a spook hitting their gelcoat? Second, Im worried about those little kids I saw in the tubes. Its almost neglect to put those kids in that danger. If I thought they would have stopped and listened, I would have told them about the trees, but anyone coming that close to me over and over probably would not have listended to my warnings.

  21. Boys, Im with more restrictions, but without someone on the water to enforce them, it will do no good. Tried to fish point 7 the other day, between the first and second bouy. I had 3 treetops from 6" to 18" under water around the boat while I was sitting there, and had 3 sets of tubers and ski'ers run past me over the point within reach of a long spook cast multiple times. Someone or sadder some child is going to get hurt in this low water being dragged into one before the summer is over. I feel sorry for the poor kid(s) it happens too. As for the owner of the boats, crossing MARKED shallow points, cutting around anglers and the such, I dont feel bad for their boats or props.
  22. Depending on the distance from the dam, I believe it takes some time to start and stop. Nothing I know for sure, just what I would think.
  23. I use 15 Big Game in green. which ever you think will take the abrasion the best. Be ready to retie often. Going over steel parts and stuff is rough. As one of my buddies says about spooning "I worry about getting them hooked up first, then getting them to the boat."
  24. War eagle white 1oz. work best for me. great trebles. after awhile rocks will dull them so either keep an eye on them and sharpen or switch to triple grips of the same size. Also, Gammy makes a stinger hook, its a small hook on a red braided line. Hook one of them on the top of the spoon, where the loop comes out of the lead. These help alot when you hook the fish, I think when the fish shakes his head it grabs and keeps them from throwing the single treble. Sometimes. Lost two keepers the other night, of course got 4 shorts to the boat. One last thing on the stingers, be careful if you flipping. I stick that little sharp hook in my fingers all the time and they are SHARP.
  25. Quill, just get up earlier. Have had great luck sometimes 3am till 8am.
