  1. Brian: Went to my first Cardinals game Sunday in the new stadium and it was great! Big Albert saved the day and it looks like to me the Cards need to see if Mr. Luna can play left field and let J.Rodriquez play right field, at least give it a chance won't be any worst off since those positions have not produced much to date. I thought Looper looked pretty strong for the two innings regardless of the double that really only caused a problem because of the error in right field on a line drive tailing back to Encarnacion who had a sure double play since the Reds had a hit and run on. The base runner was at second when he dropped the ball. Needless to say the poor guy is not a fan favorite and I think he is pressing. I don't boo the home team players {I just shake my head and talk to myself} and the season is so young, that people need to let up a little on the booing!
  2. Phil: This date the trout cam is working great! Larry
  3. Thanks Guys: in the past have been looking at the Malibu Explorer but after reading some of the comments on the web I took a look at the Tarpon 120 on the net and it does impress me, also have a dealer right here in St. Louis so that should help out in $$$$. Again Thanks.
  4. I Can't Sorry about that didn't finish reading the complete e-mail. I could after I got off Mizilla Firefox. Worked great then my omputerwas in the shop, back on line Tuesday the screen comes dark and will not buffer {load}.
  5. Retroaction Man:I noticed you mentioned a Yak, I assume it is a Kayak! What is the brand and how do you like the fishing from one. Is it a open deck? etc.Been looking and seem to have trouble making up my mine.
  6. John: Where do you purchase the Home Waters book? John: Where do you purchase the Home Waters book?
  7. Seth: Try the following web "stlcardinals.com" then look to the left of the page and it shows "tickets". You can buy on web and I think they said you can print the ticket at home, like they now use on a lot of airline tickets. The prices on the web are higher. Also on the same web they have "Prime Seats" this site you purchase the tickets from season ticket holders, I'm sure the prices are straight up since I doubt the Cards would get involved in selling inflated tickets! Come to think of it THEIR tickets are inflated. Good Luck!!!
  8. Greg: A group of us were at Norfork from April 5-9 and caught so many fish. Couple of Cuts 17" plus some nice Browns that were right at 16" with great color. As you said the Rainbows were good and strong. They stocked 8,000 cuts two weeks ago, NEEDLESS to say a whole lot of small cuts were really after anything that hit the water. They were small, don't know if that is the standard stocking size. It was a great 4 days with no generation that interfered with the fishing.
  9. Kansas Fly Fisher: I saw the article about the state of Mo. removing Mountain Loins from the endangered species list, the article also pointed out that this action was to simply allows a Mountain Lion to be killed and thus not be charged with the death of a species listed on the endangered list, even while they refuse to admit that these animals do inhibit our woods. They have also in this move eliminated any liability by allowing these creatures to be killed.
  10. John: Thanks for your help!
  11. John: Ant further on the North Fork? Guess i'm getting a little nervous with our yearly trip only 11 days off! Could relax and just except what we find when we arrive. then there is always the waters of the White just never have fished those waters!
  12. Thanks Dano ! Does the regs say anything about outside the catch & release areas. On the day this took place {2005} I was fishing in the area of Gene's Trout Resort where the corn was being thrown. Just wondering.
  13. Phil: I could be wrong but I think in Arkansas chumming is legal. I was fishing at North Fork River and while wading noticed a live bait guide throwing corn in the immediate area he had his clients fishing. I was shocked!! When I returned to the cabin I was complaining to some of the group about guides chumming and they showed me in the regs that it was not illegal. I could hardly believe it.
  14. SO SAD! I hope your wrong! What can we do to help?
  15. Phil: Glad I took the time to read all 4 pages. Someone mentioned Firefox {Mozzilla} possibly being a problem to few the trout cam so I switched to Internet Explorer and it works now. now I can see what you all have been talking about. This is great.
  16. Don: Sorry about your house damage from the twisters! Did you talk to anyone whether that housing project had done any work on stopping the sediment from running into the river during periods of rain. I just find it unbelieveable that the state of Arkansas would allow the contractor to continue their operation and not DEMAND that steps be taken right then to control their storm water run off or pay up starting the day they were caught and back to the day construction started without the proper permits.I hope the situation gets corrected soon.
  17. It is hard to believe that a developer in ths day and age does'nt know they are legally responsible to control storm water run off during construction, or they just don't care.i hope the problem clears before we get there on April 7, I would be disappointed but the main worry now is solve the problem & clear up the water. I have survived other disappointment in my life time. Scott of Gene's Trout resort is RIGHT run the heck out of the turbins and clear the silt from the river before it settles to much and has to much of lasting impact on the aquatic life that these fish and others depend on.
  18. Anyone have any up to date fishing reports on the North Fork river {Arkansas}? Whats hot and are they runing much water? Will be fishing there on the week of April 3rd. Thanks for the info.
  19. Great Fish, I plan on guiding my granddaughter on DRC this summer, hope she does well. One thing about hooks that don't care what part of the body they grab. You see so many fly Fishermen not wearing glasses, either sun or regular. I don't know how many times I have had a hook pull out and either the hook or a shot has hit me square on the glass lens. Just another thing to think about while wading the rivers or streams.
  20. Too bad Taney doesn't come up with some type of similar creek from the hatchery for kids and the legally handicapped {I think the handicap also can fish Dry Creek}to have the chance to fish in their own area. I have walked Dry Creek numerous times {no rod along} what a beautiful piece of water, even smells fishy. Great job Steve! Snow Fly
