  1. Yesterday I put my bass boat in at the new boat ramp just west of low water bridge. (maybe not the smartest thing I've ever done!) I ran slowly to the falls and into the slough. I really didn't fish but just looked around. In the main creek channel there was some 8 ft deep water. Some guy bank fishing in the slough told me this stetch was full of crappie, redears, smallies, and even walleyes. Crappie and redears, sure, even smallies but walleyes? Does the stretch from low water bridge to the falls get much pressure? Any advise would be appreciated (no, I'm not asking for directions to your honey hole!) Thanks in advance.

    Redear?

Bushwacker lake in SW Missouri on the Barton county line is some of the best redear fishing in the Midwest. Lots of fish and good size too. Also, great pan-fishing for 'gills and black crappie (limit of 30). Light pressure on the lake with lots of timber and a good boat ramp.
