Yes my buddies have caught some that way. there were 3 or 4 boats trolling for muskie today actually. Fellows is know for having very nice size muskie for the area not many people know but they are there. In the spring when the water is up they catch them in the flooded weeds and timber on spinnerbaits. I will try to find some more info and keep you posted.

I grew up in Fair Grove and have always fished Fellows here and there. Problem is the boat I have now is to too big for regs on fellows(hp) so I have to use my dad’s canoe with the 4.5 hp on the back. They live not even 200 yards from the entrance but anyways I went out today in search for some bass. Conditions weren’t the best for the canoe the north wind blew me off my fish. Not like standing in my boat with my foot control trolling motor. But I ended up finding some bass off of brush piles near the bank throwing a green pumpkin Jig along with PB&J jig. They were eager for it as soon as it fell near the brush bam they were on. I plan on hitting it a little more when I get a chance to get home on the weekend. since I live down here on Table Rock. I’m also interested on any info about lake Springfield and those Lilly pads or weed beds I see from Hwy 65 and luck pulling bass from there? Good Luck fishing guys.

Fishing the famous Rock. Well I was supposed to have a club tournament last night (fri) but seeing how the weather played out it was cancelled. But there is good news. I was out pre-fishing Tuesday after I got out of classes and work, I hit the rock around 6 or so and it was somewhat windy but that didn’t stop me. I was the only one on the water fishing the main lake between the dam and 86 bridge. I hit a couple of my favorite spots with no success fishing deep drop shotting structure and throwing the shakey head with a finesse worm. Well right before dark I hit one last spot I could think of trying to change the mood I was in, frustrated of course I pulled up on a bluff edge point that turned to a flat with a decent drop off from the flat. Along with pre-fishing for the tournament, I was also wanting to try out my new Falcon spinning rod, will within a couple cast I was on some fish. 1 fish, 2 fish, 3 fish, and more. I caught a couple keepers within 20 mins couple goggle eye and right before I was ready to head out I said the famous last words " Last cast" well to my surprise this guy was on the other end and the Falcon rod struck again. I didn’t have my digital camera but I didn’t have my phone so the pics aren’t great but it weighed out at 3 1/2 lbs and I thought that was good enough for the night. Then last night between the storms at 5 and 7 me and my partner went fishing anyways. We went back caught a couple keepers and went to another spot catching one more. same type of structure. Me and a buddy went down there last sat at sunrise started up bull creek not doing any good because i didnt know how to fish taney for bass, now table rock im good at finding fish. i was wanting to find some fish so we headed down stream to warmer water. we had to quit around 12 so around 11 we found a small little cut off the main channel that opened up it wasnt very deep i had to trim up the trolling motor but we could see the bass and sight fish. we started throwing small flukes and we caught about every bass we saw. I have heard stories of catching bass off the moss and lilley pads with frogs and stuff and wanted to go try it but never found the grass and lilley pads. and info would be appreciated. I was wondering if anyone has found any beds holding fish around the dam or 86 bridge area. If not when do you think then will start. last time i was out, sat. the warmest water i found was 60. any suggestions where to start finding some beds.?

I hear the crappie are back in Long Creek. I was wondering what the colors and weight that peole are fishing with to pull em in? and what structure they are fishing them for. I appreciate the suggestions

Hey Brian thanks for the info, sounds bad but I hadnt planned on fly fishing for them, but now the thought is in my head. I wont forget the camera, for the HOGS Ill be pulling out of there.

Hey guys I am going down to Texas the third week of March to fish Lake Fork. Im out of school for spring break so what better thing to do than go fishing. I was wondering if anyone had an tips or suggestions for me from thier own personal experiences, or things they have heard. I appreciate it.

Yesterday Jeremy and I went fishing down below the rebar hole by the boat ramp. Got in the water around one. I had a lot of fun experience fishing and learning a lot from Jeremy and I greatly appreciate it. We had good luck all day, but the wind was the only thing getting to us. We caught plenty of fish on a variety of flies. We hooked up with bigger fish on the dry flies and Jeremy had a really nice Rainbow SMASH his fly. He was pretty excited, because I could hear him yelling through the wind. At the beginning I don’t know if he was just looking for bigger fish or just letting me catch more but my numbers were a lil more than his at the start, but we both caught a lot of fish. Was just wondering if anyone has been bass fishing lately? Have a tournament on the ROCK this weekend and just wondering how everyone has been doing? R they still hitting the jerkbaits around the cedar trees and jigs off the points? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Yeah I went thursday ...I wrote a report for Jeremy Hunt because he has been able to go out..Im one of his students, so he asked me to fish and let him know how I did..click here to read my report he posted on his website. Glad you had a good time, I know it makes Phil and Jeremy happy when new faces show up and are egger to learn this very addicting sport. I know I have enjoyed class since I started and will keep up the attendance as long as I can. So pass on the word about the class so others like you can come and enjoy their Tuesday night.
