Glad you are doing well. I go in on Thursday to get neck injection's to try and get rid of the pain from Shingles. Got them after that last operation on my neck. No fun there at all. This is done in the operating room as they have to use the equipment in there so they don't go to deep. I sure am gald you are doing well. I will be to after Thursday I hope LOL.. Ron

Bear Grylls vs. Les Stroud
MTM replied to Terry Beeson's topic in General Angling Discussion Archives
That blonde on ESPN will eat anything to so that is no big deal. LOL You know the one I think it is Going Wild or some such program? As for the shows being talked about I do believe they are a little hokey myself. Ron -
John you mightr want to take a look at Baileys waders. I took a good look at there new guide zipper waders today. Right along with the Simm's they have both of them in stock. The new Bailey's zipper guide waders are sure right up there with Simm's and about 250 cheaper to. The Simms with the zipper has the zipper exposed the Baileys does not. It has a cover over the zipper making them look much nicer. I will just say I was very impressed with the Bailey's waders and the guarantee is just as good. Ron

Just remember that Orvis dosen't make there own waders. They are made for them. Not sure who is making them for them Nowe? I have been using Dan Bailey's waders and they are making there own now and are very good waders in my book. I have had mine for two seaswon now and they do not leak at all. I also have a set of there hippers and the same with them "No Leaks" They have the same type of guarantee as Simms or any of the better wasers so you won't get shafted. You might give them a try. FYI- How many of you folks think the San Juan shuffle started on the San Juan River? Wrong. It started on the spring creeks in the Livingston Montana area. I fist saw it done on Armstrong Spring Creek in 1971. It ws in August and the fishing was real slow. A guide I had met showed it to me but made me promise not to show clients as it would hurt the fishery. He told me another guide had showed it to him on the same creek in 1969. It has been around for many years. I do not use it but I know some do. I did use it one time on a client that was a wise guy. Tough fishing and he said he would bet 100 dolors that no one could catch a fish. I told him I would take that bet. I took his rod with the nymph on it went just around a bend were he could see me but not what I was doing with my feet. In 5 minutes I was plasying a fish. And yes he paid me the 100 bucks. At that time a days guide cost $80 bucks so I did real well. He and I became friends and I told him how I did it about 5 years later. LOL I made him promise not to use it and I know he dosen't. He fishes the spring creeks many days a year now and is a very good fisherman. We get a good laugh over that now and then. Like I said I don't do it. No challenge if you use that method. Poeple that use it just want to be hero's. Ron

I see this morning on the news they are going to get an investagation going on why the Power still isn't on in Missouri and Illinois. You know how much that is going to cost the tax payers. A bunch. I can tell them why but they don't want to hear the truth they have to find something worng some place. The reason is the weather. The ice is still on a lot of the trees and the limbs are still breaking. They fix one area and leave and have to go back and fix it again. A week to fix what was out is one heck of a good time if you ask me. that ice was all over most of two states. How many people do you think they have to work on something like that. It just amazes me what the government will do. Ron

I have used them for many years I get mine from Dan Bailey's. I might also suggest getting a pair of yellow lens ones. They are the greatest thing sense sliced chicken. You will be able to see at least a half hour later in the evening and on over cast days they are twice as good as any other color. I carry both Gray and Yellow. Ron -
Be safe and hope you get a lot of birds. Ron

I came up with this and it is good if I say so myself. And easy. 1 chicken, Salt, Pepper, Accent, 2 strips of Bacon, Butter and Soy Sauce. That is it Salt and Pepper and accent your chicken being careful not to salt it to much. Just go real light with the salt. Place the chicken in a roasting pan. Lay the 2 strips of Bacon on the breast of the bird and put the chicken in a 350 degree oven. 2 large spoons of butter melted in the Microwave and add to a half cup of Soy Sauce. Cook chicken for about an hour then baste with the Butter and Soy Sauce. Do this several times making sure to use all the Basting sauce. If you run out just use the juice from the cooking bird and it works fine to. It takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes for the average bird. Just make sure the juice runs clear and the bird will be done. Take the bird out and place it on a cutting board. Let it set for 15 minutes before cutting. Now strain off the oil from the juice in the pan. Or most of it. Place the left over drippings over the fire and add a large cup of water to the drippings. Bring to a boil and add Corn Starch about 1 and a half spoons full to half cup of water. When the drippings come to a boil add this and it will thicken the gravy. I do not think you will need any salt so don't add any until you taste it. That is all there is to it. I think you will like this a lot I know my family sure does. I like Cornbread and Green's with it. Now I am making myself hungry. Good Eating. Ron PS- Make sure to eat the Bacon. YUM!

I believe they all sould have term limit's on them. They get in there and they become God like. Just to show how bad it is my state Montana voted for term limit's and they over turned it said there was something in the states constitution that they could over turn it. Bunch of you know what if you ask me. I do agree with Chrlie Rangle that the young sould have to serve our country. To many of them run there mouth with no experence. Maybe not in the mititary but there are other things they could do to help this country out. The one thing that burned my butt a little in this last election was all the people without serving running there mouth and knowing everything about everything. I e-mailed a few of them and asked how they knew so much without ever serving in the mitltary. You wouldn't believe some of the answers I got back. Like this one. "Military personal do not have any rights while they are serving" That is a new one to me. I think they can vote and when in civilian clothing they have all the rights that none military do? I wrote back to this guy and asked him if he had ever pout is butt on the line for anything or did he just get the right to run his mouth from his daddy. Never got an answer back. Wonder why? Ron

Phil if you find you have a few left over I could use 2 more. My son wants one and his hunting buddy also would like to have one. Thanks Ron

I'd hate to see a lot of fish floating belly up do to all the people swimming without waders on. Should be a law on that one for sure. Can you imagine all those fish seeing a bunch of old men swimming naked in Tanny? Wow talk about belly up from laughing. Ron

Like I sais we had about 5 or 6 inchs here but the wind is blowing and most of it is now in North Dokata and my driveway. About two feet in the drive way. Had to use the 4x4 with a blad to break it out. Stuff gets so hard you can walk on it. I saw were there was a town in Missouri that got 19 inches. They can have it LOL. Just hope everyone stays safe. Ron

They showed an area from Texas on up to the Great Lakes that would get a foot or so. Phills area was in the 6 to 8 inch area. We have 6 inches on the ground and have had for about a week now. The wind is starting to blow and it will warm up now. But the dang snow will make my drive way a mess. Blows shut. Ron
