Fished Taylor Bridge March 20-22. Had alot of success all 3 days. Sit in at about 1:00 pm everyday.
March 20-Found the fish in the slack water. Me and a friend had 30 nice males and came back later in the evening and had another 27 with the majority of them being females. Caught the females around dusk. Had a 21 inch walleye that weighed around 4 lbs.
March 21-Took another friend and with the rain the days before the water was up and had a little color. Found the fish really stacked up in the dead water staying out of the current. We threw brighter colors and had 30 nice fish with the majority being females.
March 22-Took a different friend and had 30 more nice fish. Went farther upstream because the current slowed down and the water cleared up. This time we found most of our fish in the current. Caught 2 more nice walleye and missed a good crappie. Seen the whites in the current mating and every fish we caught had 5-6 followers underneath it.
Overall, I fished 3 days and had 117 white bass. I have fished at Taylor Bridge for quite a while now and seem to have a good idea of how far they are upstream. No one seemed to believe they were that far upstream but they are. I am back in college now so i can share this information becuase i don't have a chance to go back. Fish were caught on 2 main baits. Colors were white. Can't tell you my secret colors, but send me a pm if you don't believe me and i will show you pictures or give you more information. No fish were caught on swimming minnows, don't like them becuase everyone and their brother throws them.
