  1. I also would argue that TR is superior to BS, well in any category, dont get me wrong i love TR, but i just spent 2 days on lower BS and with the amount of quality largemouth we caught in that short amount of time i dont think BS would play second fiddle to any lake in MO or AR,and most of the time i felt like i had the lake to myself i just dont get that alot on TR, and i might be wrong but i didnt see TR on the BM elite's schedule this year, but i guess feathers and fins is correct.....apples and oranges.
  2. Thanks for the info, stayed at diamond city resort, nice place, nice people even opened the tackle shop at 10pm so we could restock. The reports from Bry and everyone else were right on, caught lots of fish in the bushes, LM and spots on spooks and spinnerbaits, lots of keepers, also whites, 4 really nice walleye, an even some crappie and a 4.5# smallie. If it was not for the reports on this great forum i might not have gotten to enjoy 2 days of great fishing.
  3. Well, i don't think TR needs stripers by any means, it's a great fishery the way it is, but i do look at lakes like Ouachita which is plum full of them, and the black fishery is great, and even Hamilton in hot springs has more bass per acre than any lake in Arkansas has stripers, perhaps stripers do make for a healthier fishery.
  4. I cant stand it anymore, fishing sounds to good, grabbing my spooks an headin that way, thanks to everyone for the informative reports an i'm sure some motel in DC that stands to make a couple bucks this week thanks you also. Does anybody know of any place close to the lake? Also anyone coming across any eye's? I'm low on em in the freezer. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. Started early thurs morning, found the smallies shallow, most less than 10ft, on gravel did catch a few out in 18-20fow on carolina rig,w/fish doc and baby brush hog but for the most part it was jigs, tubes an spinnerbaits shallow, we had 20 fish, half keepers/shorts with a couple 4-5#s .Finding whites and hybrids on the main lake and in the back of coves in the buck brush bustin shad in about 2fow their hard to get to but when they come out an a-rig is hard to beat. Water temp 63-67 ,color is perfect. Fishin is good!
  6. Went out all day sunday, ran up devils fork, tied on an a-rig and never put it down, managed around 30, all nice sows, had just as many followers, all in 6-8 ft flats, water temp 59,water color an clarity is amazing. Also caught a dozen really nice slabs, just thought i'd post something kinda lonely on this thread.
  7. I got into a bunch of them in the back of hogan creek a couple of years ago, good size to,bout this time of year.
  8. Fished the upper part of the lake on friday, caught 14 keeper lm,all quality fish, largest one went 6-8, back in a creek channel 25-30 fow.water temp 49. Fun day.Hope this helps somebody.
  9. Been fishin greers quite abit this year, seems everytime i go it gets better, mainly fishin devils fork, lots of fish in the creeks this time of year, findin some nice hybrids an whites under the shad 30ft over 70fow spoons an dropshots been getin the job done, walleye seem to be pushin their way up,catchin some decent fish on rouges, could probably catch more if ya stuck with a rouge all day but its hard for me to do that, been seeing some folks crappie fishin, been told they been catchin them, also been throwin a jig on the steeper banks for a few lm.Hope this helps.

    walleye

You can access the water at river run below the 76 bridge better when the waters up,otherwise go to beaver. As for the walleye, jerking a rouge in the evening and after dark allways works for me.See'ya on the water
