  1. Fished from 8:30-4:00 water temp was 43-50. Put in at shell knob. Caught around 20 don't know for sure, had 6 keepers 5 on jerk and one on jig. Not a bad day considering the weather. List one Walter at the end of the day that really stung, but a bad net job by myself contributed to that. Caught a mix of spots and blacks all spots were right on the bank, blacks were out further. Have fun headed to beaver tomorrow for my first trip there.
  2. I was in a royal blue and silver basscat, got it in June. Never slowed down to throw the jig, should have. Sheer bluff and wart was good right before I loaded up. Just catch them suspended.
  3. Fished from 8-4:30 out of shell knob. Caught around 15, with 4 keepers. All on crank bait, bluffs and flatter stuff, best fish came off flatter stuff. WT was 53-55. Fished from knob to Baxter.
  4. You to, hope you had a great thanksgiving. Let me know where you go tomorrow I may see you there.
  5. Ok thanks quill
  6. There was a problem uploading file
  7. Guys, I have tried to upload some photos from my phone and my chromebook, I continually get an error. Any ideas?
  8. Fished basically all day. No school for a few days, so I took advantage of that. Had the notion that the weather was going to really get them fired up. Many days like we had yesterday will get them fired up, but not so. I maybe caught 15 bass all day, had 7 keepers. All keepers were blacks. Quality was there today, but it was like you get 2 bites an hour. Just had my hopes up too much I guess, but I am not complaining. I would take the day I had any day, I have had too many that were not even close to yesterday. I caught all my fish on a spook, plopper and spinner. Caught them on bluffs, transitions, in pockets, main lake and in a creek. Tried to stay in the wind all day, I did not stop and fish a spot unless there was wind. Have a great Thanksgiving!!!!!!
  9. Fished from about 10 til 4. Caught somewhere around 20, had 6 keepers. All fish came on spook and plopper. Only had one good fish, around 4lbs. Rest were all 16 in. Great day on the water, beautiful day and did not see but maybe 3-4 boats. Good luck when you get to go. Water temp. was 59-62 depending on where I was at.
  10. Sorry guys, I don't have a ton of information, I do know one guy in our club fished a couple of them, said there were 6-7 boats winner take all. But I can't remember the day of the week or entry fee. Sorry
  11. That sure had some markings like a spot, or was I just imagining that.
  12. From what I have experienced over the last 2 months, I am going to say it will take 34 lbs. to win and 17 lbs. to fish the last day. Just my guess. I looked at the forecast, winds of 5-8 for 3 days. Not exactly favorable.
  13. Cindy We're those screenshots on lowrance or humminbird
  14. Babler spoke about it last week when he mentioned the plopper.
  15. Yes zoom horny toad
  16. Fished Sunday around the knob caught 4 keepers and probably 10 shorts, all came on spinner, spoon, plopper and toad. All shallow except one on spoon. Some main lake some in pockets and creek nothing definitive just covered water.
  17. Not really, one 15" spot and the rest were blacks in the 2.5 lb range.
  18. Took my oldest son, he has a club tournament next Sat. Had 5 keepers, lost 2 more that I saw, caught most all of them shallow. Caught 20-25, rough guesstimate, not a bad day and not near the boat traffic. Sorry to not disclose baits, but I told him I wouldn't due to his tourney. It was a beautiful day.
  19. I fished the same tournament as Sprint, and I can say it was a long time between bites. Even the ones who showed themselves were not committing to the bait. I may have boated 10 fish and I feel lucky to have done that. I was throwing the same baits as everyone else, I am not a deep fisherman so that should tell you what I was doing. Anyway, good times are a comin'.
  20. Took my two sons today, been a while since all 3 of us have fished together. Put in at Viola, fished to 86. Caught somewhere in the vicinity of 25-30 I'd say. 7 keepers, all shallow. Buzz bait, square bill, flipping, whopper. Water was 87 at viola and 91 at hickory hollow.

    Bass

My club is possibly considering coming down in August, never been there at that time. Are there bass to be caught at that time? Just curious as to methods and how far can a bass boat run from Powersite up lake. Thanks
  22. Fishing the way I was there was not a lot of bites, but some good ones would show up every now and then
  23. Got out yesterday from noon til 5:00. Wife wanted to go down. Was a nice afternoon. Put in at Big M and boated and fished from there to mouth of Kings. Caught some on big worm and topwater. probably caught 12-15, didn't really count. Had around 4-5 keepers. Was really a nice afternoon, not too many big boats and just enough breeze.
  24. When i said I stopped counting at 15, I didn't mean I caught 40 more. I did fish a couple of main lake spots that did not produce, all had wind. Every thing off the main lake I fished had wind as well to some degree either blowing in or out. I would say with the spawn so close, the way I caught them will be disappearing fairly rapidly. Or at least I think it will. Threw a fluke some when I could, never had a taker, a looker or two, but no take. I threw 1/2 oz. with larger blades, not huge, but bigger than screaming eagle.
  25. Caught several, most of the time everyone likes to know a number. So just wanted you all to know I caught several. Think I saw Babler up there, but could have been someone else in a PHoenix. Viney Creek is where I believe he was at. None of the fish I caught were main lake.
