The MDC will check it out if you have a photo or video....Other then that it's just another reported sighting. Still, I would think they might like to know.

This doesn't fit any of your wants, but, just in case.....I have a Colt Anaconda .44 magnum I bought new. Has the case and owners manual. I'd like to trade for a 1911 45 ACP or in 38 Super. The Anaconda's are not made anymore as I understand it. It's only had approx 100 rds fired and it's in above excellent shape. Heck, it oughta be. It's in the drawer 99.9999% of the time. 417-779-2008 Martin

Jonesey's health went bad on him....He moved back to Kansas so his kids could care for him. Hard to lose a fishing buddy.

Hi Gary ! I rarely get to Stockton since it's about 2 hours away.....I can stay here or be at Bull Shoals in about one hour. Hard to drive 2 when one will do. I hope things will pick up for you guys... I all honesty, I haven't been out much. I stay busy watching all the great posts on Ozarkanglers. I'm not too far off from retirment day, then lookout. I'll be the guy fishing everyday that can't catch diddly.......lol

It sure seems that way sometimes.

Mike, I talked to a nice couple yesterday that booked a trip with you recently. To say they were happy would be an understatement. They were extremely pleased with how the day went and how the fishing went. Nice mixed bag it sounded like. They were particularly excited about spooning up some fish.... Thought I'd pass that along. Good work man ! m

My 20 foot Crestliner is like a Cadillac compared to any other boat I've owned. Capt Don House fishes from a big G3 walleye boat also.

Tomorrow morning (Sat Oct 9th), a few of us are going to launch at Aunts Creek and fish the James for walleyes. It's just for fun and educational value. (I hope). Any and all of you are invited to join in. We're going to try and launch by 7:30 a.m. and fish until about 2 ish. That will be decided before launch time. If you "give" to the fruit jar and have the single, biggest walleye of the day, you win the fruit jar. That part is totally optional. Hope to see some of you guys in the a.m. !!

Nice report illwalley ! You'd better check that 13 inch yellow perch. It MAY be a new state record. I think the lastest state record is still considerbly less then 2 pounds. (don't bet your life on that, but it's what I remember)..

The Gazzette (as mentioned), The Shell Knob Rattler, The Crane Cronicle...And a Branson paper, maybe 2 in Branson...Most of these are just "lake area" stuff,.. (some, quite entertaining)......lol

Nice report ! Great photo's to !

Camp Kanacut or something like that....lol. Drop a spoon to those fish. Get above them and drop it straight down to their level...Try a 1/2 oz to a 3/4 oz spoon. Hop it a few times and see what happens. There are tons of guys on here that will probably say,"Drop Shot"......It's another vertical presentation. That should work also.

The best I know of, and he is really, really good, if Tom Stadtler at Championship Marine. He is on highway 160 north of Tablerock Lake up around Spokane. Closer then Nixa for sure. There are two marine places at Spokane, but Tom is the premier fiberglass / high performance boat fixer and is located north of the Restaurant on the highway. I believe the restaurant is called the Gateway restaurant.....Tom will come out and look at your problem and give you a price. Darn good fisherman to. I don't have his number but if you PM Hunter91, he'll be able to find you a number.

rps, how big is that walleye at the bottom of your photo? It looks to be a really nice sized beast !

Great report Mike ! I can't wait for Saturday. Might see you on the water. mF

Looks like they've been running water thru Tablerock since Monday or so. 2 to 4 thousand CFS most of yesterday and last night. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Reports/Data/Tabrock.htm

Thanks Champ... It sure did look like them. I was pouring sweat and was pretty busy trying to keep the dock walkway from falling clear off. lol..... Or I'd have checked them out better and spoken to them. If it was them, they are two tough rascals. It was H O T !

Denjac, I'm in the second cove that has docks, on the right (going in). Farthest back in the little cove. One day Sam came by and twisted my arm, so I went fishing with him. lol. One day Don House came by and we had a nice visit. Linda Redford is almost a neighbor, and she's in CC alot during cooler weather. Powerdive has been by a time or two......or three. lol...Lots of nice people come by. Be sure and hollar if you're nearby and somebody is on the dock!

Forsythian...You can pull whatever you like behind a bottom bouncer. I think what Rangerman suggested, said in another way is, shallow runners work better then deep divers in that scenario. Remember, the bouncer should be running pretty close to the bottom already. A deep diver would be digging a new creek channel. Any shallow type deal should be great. The bouncer is only a delivery system. I hope Sam tries those in-line spinners he is talking about, that will spin the blade at slower speeds. Others may have a differnt opinion, but I use more 2 oz bouncers then any other weight. If I was shooting for 37 feet, I'd go to a 3oz in a heartbeat. I hope to hear some of the results of this thread. You might also try different lead lengths to the lure from the bouncer. I keep my crawler harness lengths fairly short in our snag / brushpile infested waters. About 2 1/2 feet (or so)....I sometimes think I'd catch more fish with a 4 or 5 feet lead. In any event, I hope you guys go try some of this stuff. (I wish I was retired). lol.

Ten-Four on that Sam.....At least, the Cow Creek area was not only crowded, but downright dangerous, unless of course you have a boat between 35 and 75 feet long. I adjusted all the dock cables early this morning, anticapating a big weekend of big waves and heavy traffic. Went down about noon and everything was fine (dock wise). At about 1:00, one of our dock families called me and said the walkway "had something wrong" with it. Well, it really did. One side of the big "hinge" where the walkway meets the dock was broken. Ripped the big hinge pin (pipe) right out of the steel plates it goes through. So, I spent the next hour or more getting a chain and come-along around a fairly substantial piece of the steel frame above and then to the sagging side of the dock, just enough to hold it up until I can get somebody out next week to do some welding/upgrading. All the while, waves big enough to crash over the dock deck were coming in fast and furious... Sorry, didn't mean to write a book. It's their lake to I guess. The big wake VS dock damage will have to be addressed someday. By the way: Dry Docker Boat Docks were first to call back and promised they'd be out Monday MORNING. Bob & Ruth Burns are friends, but their service seems to be consistantly faster then most. Sam, I didn't go either....lol Since I do seem to be writing a book, their were 2 guys that came into the cove while I worked on getting the come-along installed. These guys could hace won the Dion and Guido Hibdon look-alike contest. Really....And they were fishing docks. I was too darn tired to talk to them. Anybody know if those guys are down here for something?
