lilley you ever though about putting a light on that trout cam. i get off work later in the day and cant get a look at the cam during the day i would really like to see the action plus you might see some big fish swim through the area you don't normally see in the day

where i love in st.louis there is a stream that leads into the meremec river that is just ful of grass pickerel i catch a lot on the fly rod i even see bronzies chase em down the key is finding them lol thats niot hard just look for grass i love those little fish they are truly on of the most unique fish out there. they are small but think they own the stream.
in fact this creek i think could hold trout ive though about stocking it. we have sculpins which i have heard is an indicator species for trout sustainability.
i was really curious about grass pickerel if there are any down there i have a tank with a pickerel in it and im moving to springfield next year and i am going to need to find new "pets" >GRASS PICKEREL<
well as far as size i know about that i only tie 12 and smaller the majority of what i tie is 16 i tie 12 in white because for some odd readson those work at bennett also do sculpin patterns work well at all
i have always been a big fan of black i know its not natural but it is really good at all the trout parks and when i ran out of scuds of many various colors last year and had only black and purple scuds left i used those and as surprised as i was those really worked well... in fact i believe this because i dont think more than 1% of the people who trout fish with scuds have ever thought of using black. i just tied some at home tried em and they worked.
