  1. Yep that is what I needed, thanks
  2. Hey guys, I have fished Taneycomo for a couple years now, a few guys and I come down for a weekend in March, usually the 1st full one, had a great couple days of fishing last year, hope for the same this one. Question is, we launch at the CORPS boat ramp each year, and usually go up lake past Lilley's up to the Trophy area, can somebody point out on the map where the launch we use is? I keep thinking we aren't getting to the right areas, simply because we haven't tried. I see on the maps page where the Rebar hole, big hole, etc is, but can't reference that on the big map. Is the first picture outlined in maroon closest to the dam, and the other one basically one frame down lake? Thanks for the help, hopefully we can find some good fishing this year.
  3. We were staying in town, but rented a slip at Lazy Valley... pics from dock are there, the other two are taken of released fish down at the 1st bridge going down the lake.
  4. Well, I thought I'd add another fishing report to the list of many on the forums tonight. Several guys and I fished both Saturday and Sunday morning, starting relatively early both days and just did great. We heard from another friend already fishing that the bite was good on Little Cleo's so we stocked up. As I have said in my past posts, I am a bass guy deep down, so this was great news!! Let's just say that there was no shortage of great fishing both days. Saturday we boated most of the way to the dam. The wind and strong current made it "fun" controlling the boat, but we managed to catch 20-30 rainbows between the three of us on the drift back to Fall Creek. We fished mostly with our Little Cleo's, catching all of them on a bronze with red stripe. Stocked up at lunch and headed down the lake to the bridges, stopped next to some docks and procedeed to have a blast catching and releasing a mess between 10-14 inches. Returned to the bridges Sunday morning with our other boat and brought in another limit. Thanks guys, for all the advice leading up to our trip, Taney was definitely worth it this weekend!!!
  5. Jeremy, By "indicator" do you mean keeping the jigs at a steady 6 feet down? Pardon my knowledge level, as I was brought up a bass fisherman... (hence the throwing at the bank and reeling through the current) But we are visiting Taneycomo this weekend and want to make sure we have all bases covered! Where were you on the lake where you had the best luck?
  6. How is the lake level this week? Last year I had trouble getting to the dam through the shallow areas, (Nearly had to troll) Is the level staying up high enough to boat comfortably to the dam? Mike
  7. Now I don't anchor when fishing the lake, however do use a small boat like the one in the picture, 14 foot Lund. As long as we aren't trying to anchor in any way, just drift and redirect with the trolling motor, we should be okay right?
  8. So is anybody else getting psyched for the next couple weeks/weekends? Still doing good on the white jigs?
  9. Cool, appreciate the quick response. I'm looking forward to coming down, keep up the good reports!! Mike
  10. Hey everybody, new to the forums, but am planning a trip to Taneycomo on the first weekend in March. We went last year, and did decidedly good I suppose, (1st time there) and we are returning the 3rd and 4th again this year. Last year we did great on small crawfish crankbaits, but after reading some posts, it is looking like shad colors might be a little better bet? Anyone there last year that knows if the water is running faster and higher this year than last?? Last year we had trouble getting up to the dam without bottoming out in the shallows. Don't beat me up too bad, (Bass fisherman by nature, but there is something about this lake that catches my eye) Thanks
