  1. Nice, awesome job!! Mason Jar Wine Glass = Greatest thing I have ever seen.....
  2. It will get better......not sure 'when' it will get better, but it will.
  3. I'm defenitely going to keep this going, it's a lot of fun. Going to do the Dungeon and the Bottom's Up for sure, not real sure how many more I will end up doing out of the Galloup line as I have covered all of the Galloup flies I actually use after I get those 2 done. Might do the Zoo Cougar, Barely Legal, and Heifer Groomer but will have to start tying them to get the feel for it.
  4. That is the first streamer I will do when I am done with the Galloup line. Such a great big fish pattern!
  5. That is hilarious.....you should see how much of that stuff I have gone through in the last several months. I am holding on to that stuff like it is pure gold--except when there is a big streamer to be tied with it.
  6. I really, really enjoy making these videos. I feel a sense of pressure with the fishing videos....trying to do better than the last, etc, which is a good thing....but with these it's so laid back it's a lot of fun. I have never tied a Bottom's Up and I am going to do it next. Will probably shoot my first attempt and see if I can get lucky.
  7. Package in the mail....I also threw in a couple hundred dollars for you for good measure.
  8. Hey guys, Here is a little bit of a tweaked version of Galloup's Articulated Peanut Envy. The first thing you will notice is I am using a keeled hook with will invert this fly without using dumbell eyes (which would be too heavy for this fly.) So that is the main difference. I find myself drifting this fly quite a bit. It has a great sink rate which isn't too fast, but it isn't super bouyant either (like you will see in the underwater footage at the beginning of the video) but still holds that true Galloup movement in the water, with darting motions on all axis'. Hope you guys like it. I will have the Bottoms Up coming soon.
  9. I dig it!
  10. GREAT fly!! I have seen big fish caught in that hole......AT NIGHT. Justin--me, you, and Brandon were rowing through that water when we floated! That is one of very, very few bigger fish I have see (besides smallmouth) that ate in a deep hole during the day. Very cool.
  11. I am simply trying to save you, Justin. Be careful what you wish for.
  12. I couldn't agree more.
  13. I'm not sure how long they are going to last but the Simms Aluminum Cleats are nice. Being "soft" aluminum they grab instead of slide like the hard alloy-type cleats. If you have ever floated in an aluminum canoe on low water you know exactly what I mean.
  14. That is actually an articulated Ice Pick....tied out of colors my eldest picked out.
  15. Yeah TC....that fish was caught last night. What a tease huh?
  16. HAHAHAHAHA!!! Great point Flysmallie!
  17. Hooked....for....LIFE. (perfect timing Justin...you would have thought we planned this)
  18. Thanks! Glad you liked it.
  19. Glad you liked it! We have such an awesome river here.
  20. The jinx thing came to mind for me too....but I think I'm ok, I have 3 slash marks on my thumb from getting the Ice Pick out of it's mouth--that kills all jinxes right?
  21. It is! That trip was one I donated to Mid-Mo TU. I had been telling them about the streamer bite we had and preparing them to throw big streamers. There comes a point when you lose some guys if they haven't had an eat in a couple of hours but David just kept pounding the water, not the greatest caster in the world---but he was determined and stuck with it (which means as much or more than being a good caster)and man.........I thought it was a striper when it ate, seriously. Had to use the boat to help him roll it so we could do something with it, and that is with an 8wt. Epic fish... Last time I talked to him he was at the Taxidermist working on a reproduction of it.
  22. Did you ever get a name on that white fly Tucker?
  23. Thanks! 2011 was a ton of fun.
  24. Perfection...HA! Always looking for the next level and hope to keep getting better. Going to start messing with a "Big Nasty" streamer video of some sort. Slow it down a little and get a little more in-depth...if I can pull it off.
  25. I know! Can't believe I forgot to mention White Bass fishing with Justin Spencer......until THE storm about knocked us off the water, wow, we were stupid.
