  1. Got it thanks.
  2. Yep it's the Undercliff campground. I thought you were talking about the one on the other side of the highway. It's going to be intresting when the Undercliff starts shuttling canoes again. Praters going to have to hire a whole bunch of good ole boys to watch his land.

    My Wife

I know exactly what you mean!
  4. Prater is quite a bit further down from Lime Kiln. We usually do it in two seperate floats. If a guy wanted to, he could make it in a day float. I would guess it's about 8 or 9 miles down. Since I go more by hours fished than miles floated it is not something I worry about. If you don't know the creek it would be difficult to know exactly where his land is until the law or the sidearm wearing muscle asks you to leave. Edit: His place is on the left. But he might tell you it's on both sides and the middle.......
  5. Yes there is a campground/RV park on Hwy. 71 that runs right up to Shoal Creek. They have built a pretty good sized lake and charge a pretty penny to fish it. I also believe they are charging to use their property to get to Shoal Creek to fish. Yeah you were very professional. I liked the title, and especially liked the picture with me in the foreground and the county mounties in the background. How about sending that to me??? It would make a great screen saver. I had a pretty good letter written up that I was going to hand deliver to Sheriff Copeland and the prosecuting attorney, but Chief called and told me about his meeting and said it wasn't necessary.BTW, you were quoted. I am so glad we have a supporter in this county. I won't do anything different than I ever have, but I know now that I don't have to put up with their crap either. Mr. Kenneth Copeland will definitely get my vote.
  6. Great report.
  7. Something a lot of people don't understand is that Shoal Creek does not get the same kind of canoe pressure that some of the other creeks and rivers get. It's nothing like the Elk, Jack's Fork, or any of the many other rivers that you all may try to compare it to. It's just not in the same catagory. In 30 years of floating and fishing Shoal Creek I have never once seen the party floaters. You will see families who are just enjoying the warm days on the creek and also floater/fishermen enjoying the great fishing experience. Never the rowdy bunches of idiots that give most rivers a bad name. When a landowner buys land, or in this case inherits or is waiting to inherit land, and then begins to harrass people for no good reason it is just wrong. That is truly the case here. Nothing more, nothing less.
  8. Great Job Chief. I'm glad we know where our Sheriff stands on the subject. He seems like a great guy.
  9. Nice pics Chief.
  10. That's a good looking fly Gary. I think I'll try to tie some up and color them like different baitfish or baby bass. Thanks for posting the video.
  11. Anyone who would like to help out with this situation should head on over to Chiefs new thread, http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27924&pid=189090&st=0&#entry189090 ,and try to fill this thing up before Chief goes to talk to the Sheriff.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your posts.
  13. I believe that if someone interferes or harrasses with a person fishing within the banks of a stream or river that has been accessed by way of a public boat launch put in by the Missouri Department of Conservation, then the harrasser/interferer should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The state of Missouri has laws in place to keep this from happening and yet it still happens all the time. The only way to stop this type of harrassment and intimidation is to punish the law breakers. This stream, Shoal Creek, has obviously been deemed navigatable by someone in the higher powers of the states government, or the MDC would not have put a public boat launch on the stream in order for the public to navigate it. I, Kyle Buzzard, a resident and taxpayer of the state of Missouri, demand that something be done in order to correct this wrong doing and to insure that it does not happen again.
  14. It was a great float. Minus a little confrontational behavior. The fish were biting right of the bat. I caught some nice smallmouth, a few kentuckies and one nice largemouth. It was great meeting everyone. I can't wait for the next one. Maybe we should bring a lawyer. Oh yeah.............What's the internet????
  15. Something that hasn't been mentioned yet is the fact that, Prater has been bothering floaters and fishermen for at least 2 years. As it turned out yesterday he was looking for us. He wasn't just in the woods or field. They saw our vehicles parked along the road or were tipped off that we were on the river and came looking for us with, what I believe to be, intentions to harrass us. Something else not mentioned was that some or at least half of the boats were beached on a big island not actually on his side of the creek. I believe there is something about islands in the Elder case.
  16. That's a pig for sure.
  17. Nice....
  18. I've never seen smallmouth like that ,but several years ago we found a big largemouth, probably 7 lbs., that had another largemouth lodged in it's throat that was at least 2 lbs. Thanks for the pics and report.
  19. Beautiful fish.
  20. If it's the one I read, it's about the billionaire who is supposedly invited (every year) to kill off rogue elephants which are terrorizing the villages crops..... Something like that. Anyway I don't buy it. Good story Tim.
  21. I thought you could.
  22. Just messin' with ya Cricket. It should be fun to shoot.
  23. It looks like it fits in a purse.
  24. Thier inability to work together is what really ticks me off. It's all a big pissing match. Until they start working together to accomplish what "We The People" want them to accomplish and quit trying to make the other side the bad guys we will never see anything positive come out of this or any other administration.
  25. It's been a long time since I've fished it , but it is loaded with crappie and catfish. The largemouth are outstanding too. Good luck.
