last time i was out i caught a few nice ones right off the bat.. kept them for me and wife and the c & R fished the rest i caught a ton.. i can't wait to get up there... i only fished for 3 hours that day cause it was so cold.. can't wait to actually get up there and spend a day

never heard of crappie and bass tearing it up in the snow, but the trout don't seem to mind... should i just forget long creek and hit taney?

i work every single weekend or i would meet ya up there... i know a few sweet spots. it only takes me 25 minutes to get to welch and cedar grove though

is there a public ramp that is easy to find up by the darn anywhere?

is long creek where you guys are saying the crappie are in arkansas? if so, is there a sign or something letting you know you switch states? also, do live minnows do good on crappie over there.. that is what i have always fished with if i were after crappie in small private lakes and ponds

should i just plan on vertical jigging around cover at 10-20'deep??

i need to know the name of the part of the lake that big cedar is on so i can print off some maps so i don't get my butt lost..

the way all the conservation people ignored this rags me off.. reminds me of something that happened to me bout 6-7 years ago we were up at our river cabin, and noticed a deer standing in the lower lot, was strange cause we were outside bangin around mowing, getting ready to go out for a boat ride. one of the guys started walking towards it very very slowly and ended up getting within say 10' of the deer before it just kinda walked off.. well a little later some of the others got in from a 4wheeler ride and said they saw a deer in the field right next to the cabin, didn't run or anything.. so a few of us went down there. we all stood back and my same buddy that approached it before, tried again,,, he walked within 20' then got on all 4's and barely krept up to the deer, he took some peanut butter crackers with him and when he in reach of the deer he slowly handed it some crackers... the deer was eating from his hand.. he then inched up even more to where he could pet the deer. he then stood up, the deer still standing there letting him pet it.. so he stayed there and one at a time we all walked slowly up to the deer and pet it and fed it. we all knew something wasn't right... this was a young yearling deer, and was either really sick or was a pet and was still tame. so we called our local conservation office. told them the story, there response was this.. do you have a gun??? we said no at that time we didn't, the guy then said.. well it let you walk up and slit its throat??? we said yeah but we were not going to.. this was on a saturday mind you. had to get his home number from the sherriff's dept. the guy had no intention of trying to help the deer. rather than that, he wanted us to kill it. not bring it in afterwards or anything, just keep the meat and don't bug him again. didn't ever strike me the right way.. always thought if you got into conservation it was to protect and serve the wildlife as well as enforce the regulations.. not sit on your butt on a sat afternoon. the deer sure did taste great. was super tender...j/j we all got to feed and pet the deer, got a few pics with it, and left it alone.. it didn't follow us back to the cabin, but it did hang in the field for a few more hours before finally going on. looked completely healthy and had a good appetite so who knows. probably someones pet that turned into deer sausage the next deer season

lol yeah but i gotta give you cub fans one thing.. some of the most loyal ones out there. cause through all the horrible seasons, bad records and losses you guys still love em but see when you are a cardinals fan.. you don't have to be a loyal fan cause we win all the time

what should i bring for crappie.. got the bass covered i think

dang right... we always motor up to panther springs cave from our cabin above doniphan.. you can walk up a ways in it.. we usually walk until our feet get too numb

a few times back i was down fishing above welch (took the next gravel north of welch spring gravel). i went through a bunch of these government fields, and drove down to a gravel bar and looked across the river and i could see a small cave with a waterfall running out of it.. wondering what the name of it was.. i put on my waders and walked over to it but all i found was a big sign that said i wasn't suppost to be there and that it was a conservation agent area only. so i didn't the right thing... i walked around and explored the area and admired the view for a while then went back to my truck:D ice was forming on the rocks when i was there, the one time i didn't pack my camera and i found this.. photo conditions were perfect too, cloudy but not too dark. really brought out the greens of the watercrest and alge on the rocks.

at my local wally world they have some micro spinning and spin cast combos for 20 bucks.. the spin cast is one of the mini zebcos (i think) and can't remember what the flip bail were.. anyone snag one of these up.. thought about getting one to leave in my truck for a back up or emergency fishing urge rod

i think he guides on the white not really sure.. He went to school with my dad. dad calls him LINGER not sure if everyone does or not.. i was wanting to get a hold of him to see if he wanted to fish sometime soon. dad said he was a trout guide

don't know about the V-bottoms and jets, but i do know we have had several semi-v bottoms with jets and they did great.. you get better handling with the semi v verse flat bottom, smoother ride as the v in front helps cut the wake. and still have the flat in the back for the nice plain.. also check out blazer ss boats.. we have one now, it is a flat bottom, and you can hit BIG waves running 40 mph and not get wet.. the hull design is great. not has heavy duty as lunds or express but pretty close.. i think you have have them use the heavier gauge aluminum if wanted. www.blazerjetboats.com

i x-rayed a little 9 year old boy's lower leg that he messed up in a skateboarding accident tonight. Due to certain wonderful laws I can't say a name but God knows anyway.. It was mangled, I don't know how it managed to break so badly(alteast 10 places), but he is going to need several surgerys to repair the damage. It may heal back normal, may not. He may have a limp the rest of his life or no range of motion in his ankle or might go back like nothing happened. Lets pray for a total recovery.

and not only do i post like a moron, but can you believe they let me supervise the radiology department of my areas only critical access hospital , i am the surgeon's eyes during surgery, the ER physicians eyes when a patient comes in unresponsive and we have to find out why. man i guess i really am a moron.. next time in am performing a CT biospy of a patient that has extended lung cancer.. i will be sure to let the docs know how big of a moron i am, and that a polock really shouldn't be running these multi-million dollar machines:D. even worse.. i gotta do it all bass-akwards cause i'm a polock.. TALK ABOUT PRESSURE not really, i'm really a mut of chez, bohemian, german, irish, martian, throw in a little cajun for some spice and there ya go.. by the way.. anyone know where i can get some waterproof FUSES :d:d and rainbow... see ya on my table ALSO, i really don't know if I am man enough to accept the title of site moron..
